Just heard that CH 7 will be covering both the Elim & Qual finals next week. The AFL pre-finals general bye means they can cover both rather than just the Elim final.

I really don't think we have too much to whinge about considering we get 18 live games a season on TV plus the WAFL show on-line...add to that press coverage in Saturday's West and bits and pieces in the Sunday Times....I'm not sure what else could be done by various media outlets to push a second tier comp. You don't get anything like that for the state soccer league or rugby, netball or grade cricket for that matter.

rubgy or grade cricket are not a relevant comparison as they are national sports as the national team is the 1st tier, their 2nd tier is the super 14's and Shield cricket.

anyway, each to their own...cant wait till Bazza sees this topic..

While I agree it is a pity we could not have televised games each week and a pity we missed this two weeks running obviously having the Olynpics on and the AFL doesn't leave a hell
Of a lot room in the schedule

Having both finals broadcast is a real positive

Overall I agree with BC the coverage WAFL gets is far greater than any second tier in the state to be honest it's probably not completely condign with the level of interest amongst the general public in WAFL in 2016, and is somewhat more inline with legacy status than contemporary.

On a another positive WAFL is out rating SANFL Which is quite a remarkable achievement and something to build on.

Fairly obvious with Olympics, the 2nd tier comp would be one of the first booted in that period. Since moved to 7, have rarely watched a game, because never know what channel of 7 or what time, or sometimes what day

I'm happy with the fact that I have finally worked out how to get the computer and internet to run through the telly. Been away for a month but on return have been able to watch a reply via Ch7 of the Subi v Souths game. A bewdy too. I think they stay available for a month?

That is correct Mark. Too bad for those that watch the tv match. My views on this particular subject are well known.
Getting slightly off tack and abc radio have been very slack in recent weeks also. :( :( :(
Not sure if they will cover a match tomorrow? Only had 1 match broadcast by abc radio in the last 5 weeks. Or 1 game in 6 weeks if no match covered this week!
Simply not bloody good enough!!!!
