Hi, Great web site. Would it be possible to add the feature of an 'Honour Board' for each club which listed the following information over the years.

President, Coach, Captain, F&B Leading Goal Kicker.

I used to have such information as a kid, but I foolishlly threw a lot of my WAFL stuff out.

Hi ArkRoyal. Thanks mate, this is something I'd like to look at in the future, but would take a lot of time to enter the data and I have other priorities with expanding the site in the off season. Having said that if someone was to provide me with the president, coach captain and f&b then it will be much easier for me to add in. Leading goal kickers by club by season is on my priority list and will be added in the offseason and I don't need that data as I just need to write a script that calculates them, and find a suitable location on the team pages.

Hi Ric, that would be great if at sometime in the future those honour boards could all be added.
They used to be collated every year in the old Whos Who In Western Australian Football magazines of the 80s and were a great read for a young fella interested in the past history of all of our WAFL clubs.

Hey Ric -- I was just looking at the wikopedia pages for Subi and EP and noticed that both clubs have most of the information we discussed listted in tables; the only thing missing is whom was the President at the two clubs each year.

I've created a spreadsheet with that information. I'm currently working on adding Reserves and Colts coaches and drawn games in all 3 grades, as well as week by week totals for the players who scored 100 goals in a season. It also includes players who have kicked 10 goals or more in a game.

Thanks AR - still on my 'to do' list.

I'm currently working on adding scores from 1885-1897 and incorporating those stats with other stats. Due to the different scoring system and ladder equations used for those seasons I need to do a total re-write of all pages - approx 150-200 pages. I am also working on player stats pages and general site navigation.

Hey Ric -- your welcome. Fantastic. You should be very proud of the site. It is a pity you have to do all the re-formatting, but, once it is done, it will be a real asset. Does the competition go back much beyond 1885? 1870? Do you use newspapers for sources?

The WAFL started in 1885 so thankfully I only have to go that far back. My site will be the only location online, or offline that I am aware of, that has complied and displayed scores for this period of time. Unfortunately as newspapers are really the only source for theses years and reports were a little sketchy there may be some inaccuracies in my data, but until there is a firm source for here years, it's going to be as good as we can get.
