I don't want to appear like a voyeur on this but it would be appreciated if anyone hears anything you post it on here. I think the footy public in general have fingers and everything else crossed for a good outcome for Beau.

Sending positive thoughts your way Beau and hoping for a happy outcome, whatever happens, the WAFL community is behind you.

The East Perth Football Club provides the following update on the injury to Beau Chatley.

Beau underwent surgery at Royal Perth Hospital overnight. The indication at this time is that the damage to Beau's neck and spinal cord was significant. It is not yet known whether Beau will make a full recovery.

On behalf of Beau's parents, Olivia and Brett, and their family, the Club thanks all those who have sent expressions of love and support and asks for the family to be afforded their privacy at this difficult time.

The Club will provide further updates as information becomes available and will continue to provide Beau and his family with its full support.

Tragic stuff, the worst of nightmares. Best wishes to the young man and hopefully see him out there running around WAFL grounds again!

The East Perth Football Club has received the following update on Beau’s condition. Beau is still in the Intensive Care Unit in a serious but stable condition. He was taken off the respirator last night and is breathing unassisted. This morning Beau asked for and ate food for the first time since the incident. There has also been slight movement in his right hand.

The support from the football community has been overwhelming. The club would like to thank everyone for their well wishes, kind words and prayers. Understandably the family has asked for privacy with this matter and we ask that this be granted.
The Club will continue to pass on updates as we hear them.
