Time to be more creative with a title lads and not pinch an iconic term like derby, it's already been diluted by the so called WC Freo derby.

Maybe the eastern d**by could be called the "bogunfest" I'm sure all swans supporters and the boys from the pigpen would embrace that name.

I don't think Perth and Swans hate each other enough for their games to be called "derbies"

East Perth and Perth was also considered a derby throughout the 60`s and 70`s.
TBH the West Perth/East Perth Derby has the most spite and bitterness between them and they have been better games over the past 20 years and been much more fiery clashes than the EF/SF ones. The Freo rivalry is a shadow of what it once was really

SD: correct on all of the above -- one should also add S v WP, because, traditionally the clubs were separated by two sets of traffic lights. In addition, the clubs were strong rivals on the playing field datting back to the early 1930s. Even back in the football dark ages of the late 1970s and early 1980s, we beat WP, or came very close to doing so. On derbies more generally, if you support certain clubs in the UK, you can almost be playing a derby every second week: there is the genuine local derby; there is the derby from rivalry on the field; there is the north south derby; white rose derbies, white and red rose derbies, and the derbies a club has when other clubs just hate your guys. As someone, whom supports a white rose club, I know a wee bit about all of these versions of the great and glorious derby.

DD I think it would be simply super to be sipping a nice SSB at the new Claremont clubrooms when we play them there next, I do like mixing with a better class of supporter and as apparently we both have no supporters the bar service will be simply super as wel old chum.
