Interesting stat for players used in 2016 after the first 5 rounds - amazingly South Fremantle have used just 23 players with 21 playing all 4 games and the other 2 players 2 each. At the other end of the scale is Peel who have used 36 players (including 23 AFL listed players).

Interesting information...part of the reason we are travelling so well atm. It always seems to even out over the season, lets have a look later in the year.

DID YOU KNOW | The South Fremantle and Subiaco top of the table clash this weekend is just the 5th time in WAFL history that teams with a 5-0 record have played against each other and the first time since 1950.

Twice teams have met with a 6-0 record including in round 7, 1915 when Subiaco defeated South Fremantle by 35 points.

Here's a list of all the occurrences when teams have played each other with identical 6-0 and 5-0 records.

Its pretty weird how many times sf feature in those records.

Didn't mean FA in 1983 as we all know as South died in the arse when it mattered most and the black and whites got the chocolates in the big one and South weren't much good again until 1997

Injuries are the big key that's why SD and WP are in the doldrums, lets see how other teams fare with the same rotten luck..forget anything about Peelmantle and Eagles ressies as it isn't relevant to be honest

Can see where WP fans are calling foul this year over injuries to a number of players who helped WP to the GF last year and to the flag in 2013....but SD injury curse?.....pretty sure most of those injured for SD this year pale in comparison in regards to experience and ability......yep understand relevance of player importance to each invidual club, but not so sure SD injury woes are similar to WP curse this year tho.....probably need to see a list to understand SD predicament......seen WP and any club would struggle TBH.

Freeze missing for us from last weekend vs WP either injured/absent were- Kirkup, Blight, Banfield, Nuich, Newman, Blakely, Anderson, S.Taylor, Cary.
Ugle & J.Daniels were injured during the game.
4 of those above were on AFL lists.
Former State 18s boys (yet to play League footy) that did not play last week were- C.Daniels, Hodge, J.Taylor plus Nelson & Ridley (both ammos)
I am sure even you would agree that is a fair whack of football ability currently sidelined through injury, illness, absenteeism from our Senior list!
