Perhaps you might like to check the WAFL site for the attendance figure. The West figure was almost as accurate as the best players for Swans' league players listed in yesterday's Sunday Times.

Yep it was 1344 which was the 2nd biggest attendance of the four games ( about 60 behind Leederville) Not a great crowd but it wasn't a wonderful day. Still a lot more than 750, which goes to prove the old adage not to believe everything you read in the paper eh Sbelly?

Sbelly, I was at the game in the outer as a Subi supporter and for once the paper was fairly close, certainly no more than a 1000, would have been at least 4:1 Swans supporters but was genuinely surprised that despite the weather which was very windy, there was only one really bad bit of weather during the second qtr and we are constantly told Swans supporters come out rain hail or shine, they had such an abysmal showing given their season was pretty much on the line and they seem to hate Subi with a passion. Real shame for those thousands of swans supporters who missed what was a great game and an epic win against the odds by the Ducks.

Wasn't too far off at 1000, WAFL site has it at 1344 still a really poor effort for a critical Swans home game.

Dont forget that includes everyplayer and official mums and dads from colts onwards, most of home have pissed off by qrt time in the league, fact is there probably were only a few hundred in the outter for the league by that stage.

Team Games High Low Total Average

East Frem 17 7209 0 37322 2195
East Perth 18 5200 0 36675 2038
South Frem 18 7209 0 36514 2029
West Perth 17 7849 0 35824 2107

Top four clubs which surprised me greatly.

I don't get all the yak over crowds. Basically your talking differences of a few hundred here & there and averages akin to your average Christmas party. Its all average, hardly a time to brag for anyone. It doesn't mean bugger all in my opinion.

It's not unheard of to under report crowd figures allowing for a bit flexibility in the end of year accounting. Tend to agree Jardine but there are those that think their clubs are still what they used to be.

LB/Jardine -- I must say crowd figures do not bother me as a general rule. It is good to hear that there has been a slight increase in crowds.

A slight increase in crowds based on such low general figures probably means that Friday afternoon weddings have increased by 0.03%, freeing up a handful of peoples Saturday's. It wouldn't have anything to do with the WAFC's grand promotional efforts that's for sure.

If Perth had any success and started to win games regularly then there would be 2500 plus at home games each week.
