Tiger, I think you have missed the spirit of why BH may have started this thread.
As he was driving thru these small country towns he would have seen the limited facilities those communities have. The small populations with most of them on football day becoming volunteers for their local club. The endeavours of the players to drive many kilometres to train and play. The Exmouth team has to drive 440 miles every week for a game! The fact that you just don’t have to be a good footballer from the country to play in the WAFL or AFL, you have to leave work, family, mates and lifestyle behind. So what if a kid is on an AFL rookie list, he must have something to get involved in a billion dollar industry.

Yeah understood devonleigh I was just making a little joke. Played seven seasons of footy in the country myself in the Avon league and South west. Was a lot of fun.

Fair call Tiger. I still get touchy about country football when I have seen the commitment that many people out there put into the game.
Understand your joke. Mario Turco loved nothing better than ironing out the new kids from the bush on the training track to see what they were made of.
