Just an observation
A mate of mine from the East has been over visiting
Regards the Sandover cover in the West - he asked, "doesnt our local papers cover the night?" No photo WTF ... yeah sure there were items written but it almost seemed to fill spaces with such a slow week in WAFL footy.

He has also been given a heads up on the alignment senario and made the comment - "how can a coach who doesnt coach half his team get coach of the year??" He has seen WAFL games more than several times and rates our comp as superior to the East due to its speed, quality of payers. Of course thats taking on board the miriad of reserves teams in Vic from the AFL TEAMS - Still his view is that we compete extrememly well at times above! and he enjoys our open playing style over the easts.Although he does see the AFL stoppage style being introduced....

Too long to go into here and now but his comments regards the alignement are basically - 'it will fail'- its an AFL Corporate body & AFL club directive with no regard or respect to the local competition. The local competition in his eyes will be viewed as a 'tool' and not 'an asset'.
His last comment I'll print here was - "who is our local Journo in the West" "who's independant of the AFL, the one that can be seen to be giving the alternate view, not nessarily anti AFL but certainly the questionor" - I couldnt give him a name

Growler originally Clownsend was taking an alternate view on the alignment but with 7/West now sponsoring WART he has fallen into line with the rest of them.

Bingo, channel Eddy and ABC want to cover WAFL on the the box and WAFC have stuft it. Should be news story on the failing of WAFC but SWM and a certain WCE director have intervened to prevent story being told.
