This all I can find about the colst medal night,

Swan Districts' remarkable colts season continued last night, with on-baller Albert Dean taking home the Jack Clarke Medal as the competition's best and fairest.

The 173cm midfield gun polled 40 votes under a 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 system to win by five votes from West Perth's Clinton Hinchcliffe (35).

William Michell, also from the Falcons, polled 38 votes but was ineligible due to a suspension.

Dean also received the coaches' award.

South Fremantle forward Cameron Loersch, who stands at 203cm, finished the season with 55 goals to be the clear leading goal kicker.

Claremont's Jared Hardisty was named State under-18 best and fairest

From an EP colts view we have 4 boys in the team of the year, Keitel, Giblett, Dent and Hille (I think cos I was not there by choice).

Any extra information would be great.

Many congrats to young Alby, hopefully the kid can over come his noted lack of height and being over aged for the colts this year and carve out a career at SD in the WAFL or even on the elite stage.......though not playing under 18s might hurt his chances on the latter.

Since when has being born in 1996 (19/4) made you an over aged in the 2014 WAFL Colts frosty?
And Alby is the same height as this years NAB Rising Star winner champ! ;)

The boys at training thought it was a just and fair result and their praise was great to hear. One topic that was discussed was how WP got 2nd and 3rd but no one in the 18's and one in the team of the year, does that suggest the umpires get it a little wrong or the selectors. A comment abt our game against peel may hold a hint, Peel players polled despite not kicking a goal, the player who kicked 8 got no votes.

Makes you wonder and it is not a slight against WP just an interesting issue.

Sorry BH read Alby's DOB wrong thought he was a 95 baby.........be interested to see in a few years the comparison of careers between the Rising Star winner and runner up BH?..........pretty sure the runner up has more "up size" development wise than the winner...........hopefully Alby does well at his state screening than mate? ........

but congrats AGAIN to the kid on his well deserved victory , touch wood he gives SD many years of quality service..........pretty sure the Jack Clarke medal is an egyptian curse on many a youngsters footy career though......no matter their height!

Said like a true Footscray supporter freeze ;) I have no doubt both Taylor & Bontompelli will be very good long term players for their respective clubs!
And as for Alby I hope he gets a chance at the next level as he is a good accumulator of the footy in traffic.
Lets hope he is more along the likes of previous Jack Clarke Medallists- Graeme John, Pat Astone, Phil Narkle, Neil Taylor, Chris Stasinowsky, Craig Holden, Laurie Keene, David O'Connell et al

Since the year 2000 alone Kepler Bradley, Matthew Spencer, Andrew Ruck, Ryan Brabazon, Ian Richardson, Adam Cockie, Aaron Elari, Tom Ledger & Dean Kent have all carved out pretty good WAFL/AFL careers despite winning a Clarkey I would have thought! B)
