Yeh and now the AFL is talking about rewritting the tribunal /Match review rules so players dont get outed for minor offences and it is tieing them up to much with minor infringements...The umpires will take in hand. Bit late for Fyfy

Coming in next year..

It appears the WAFC have come in a year earlier - WELL FOR AFL PLAYERS ANYWAY..

it appears it is also a farce for non-afl listed players.
how can you plead guilty but then be cleared ?

Ames has also been ruled out this week as he recovers from a bout of concussion. The 30-year-old was taken from the field on a stretcher late in the second quarter after a sling tackle from Laine Rasmussen.

The Falcon had been offered a three-game ban by the WAFL report review panel but was last night cleared after WAFL Tribunal chairman Paul Heaney refused to accept his guilty plea.

Rasmussen pleaded guilty at the tribunal but sought to have the charge downgraded.

But after hearing evidence from both players, Heaney said Rasmussen's guilty plea was not warranted and that the charge could not be sustained.

Didnt know how that unfolded Mark. It is incredible and once again shows the Tribunal is a mess and incompetent.
I would love to know what goes on in their heads.
It is certainly a tangled web they weave
With the Silvagni incident that spoken about on WAFL WORLD again today and they said he should of got minimum of 2 weeks.
There would of been footage as the AFL clubs video all their games. I seem to remember they wouldnt release it last year in a similar case!
Most probably because of self interests.

the WAFL has a responsibility to its players to ensure they are looked after.
Ames knocked out and misses this week, the player pleads guilty and gets nothing ?
Silvagni cleans up a player from Perth - reprimand.
total circus..

Thought I would have a look and see if Silvagni had been picked for the Dockers this week...
Peel Thunder will take on South Fremantle this Saturday 9 August at Fremantle Oval, with bounce down at 2.05pm.

The following Fremantle Dockers players will take their place for Peel Thunder this Saturday:

Tanner Smith
Alex Pearce
Tom Vandeleur
Sam Menegola
Anthony Morabito
Jacob Ballard
Jon Griffin
Jack Hannath
Michael Wood
Michael Walters
Craig Moller - Reserves

NO Silvagni

Ha there he is Freo v Geelong Be funny if flies over and has to sit it out :)

The emergencies for the game are Matt Taberner, Alex Silvagni and Michael Walters.

It is completely inexplicable that a player can plead guilty yet is found not guilty. Even the WAFC would be hard pressed to beat that performance.
