Apparently the commission is seriously backing of introducing a top 5 for the 2015 season. Reports suggest most of the Wafl clubs are in favour of such a move. The Wafl clubs will vote on the change in the first week of September. It's understood West Perth, Swan Districts and Perth are not in favour whilst Claremont remain undecided. The other clubs are said to be in support. That would mean the Finals would have a duration of 4 weeks instead of three.

WAG the suggestion in the paper this would be in concert with reducing the number of rounds to 18. Absurd and rificulous - oh what a happy coincicdence that 7 want an 18 round fixture.

Yes that's right 42. I would not call it a happy coincidence. How is it the broadcaster can start telling the commission what to do!? Should be the broadcaster being told to back off and just televise the damned matches! Personally speaking a top 5 is no issue with me. An 18 game season is a different story though!

Dunno about this one , one on side I say no just keep it as it is but then I also think the more sides that can get at those two AFL shitbags (that will eventually be 1-2) in the September stuff the better

I'd agree if a team like West Perth was 5th. Giving a finals spot to a team that could only kick 3 goals in 8 quarters would be total embarrassment.

It is interesting now that Claremont are in 5th, they are in top form and could do some damage if 5th spot was added. Would be an exciting addition to the finals.

How about a top 8? Maybe, but only maybe, Perth could finally make the finals.

Clearly a sign of desperation by this hopeless mob as the comp sinks further into being a farce.

This stupid idea was tried when the comp was far stronger and is completly pointless.

SANFL did it with only nine sides.....
