Very well said, couldn't have stated it better.
Unfortunate to say but that's exactly what's happened. Never mind about all the talk of next season!
Our once great Wafl has been allowed to go down the drain! :(

I think the quote is a little off, as I understand it is the broadcaster and only the broadcaster that is saying 18 games not the preferred sponsor.

Being realistic no matter who the sponsor is they would want as much exposure as they can get and so would the ones that piggy back onto the deal.

Grump it would be very unfortunate for the WAFL competition if the amalgam of Channel 7, the named preferred sponsor and the WAFC are in accord as to the broadcasting of the 2015 WAFL season.

I think that like the outside world we have not seen the last of the chnages to the WAFL or whatever it is to be called after the changes happen.

I do think that any effort to increase the viewing access could help WA football at our level. The secondary or semi pro levels of sports in other countries seem to to do better when they are on a medium that allowws greater access.

The biggest issue is going to be how to distribute the money so that ALL clubs get their share of the advertising and it is not just for 2 clubs (one pre existing and the other non existing)
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

WAFC Under Seige, and righly so!

What a joke, WAFL set the fixtures, they sold out to the local AFL clubs, so they should never be fixturing their Reserves sides to overlap there AFL fixturing.

The end is comming.. if
They make the WAFL game a game before the AFL game.. How they going to sort that out or do us WAFL supporters have to pay the big Bucks. I remember when this happened a couple of years ago and they allocated 500 seats to the WAFL clubs or supporters. :(
It would be an allocation to each club so work it out yourself..
Ah Fark it is only WAFL..

I enjoy going to Watch the Reserves and League on the same day... So we start having circus games at night (no Ressies they will play on the Saturday as a stand alone along with the colts). We have all been there with the country games and night games where the Ressies play the next day in front of their supports staff.
More work for the volunteers as well.

I am only scratching the surface with those 2 examples.
My feeling is a lot of WAFL supporters will just pull the pin which will financially hurt the WAFL clubs as well. The home game crowds will drop off as well. No gate money to talk of. No support for the Players - will be the Foxtel cup.

All for the SAKE OF THE BIG DOLLAR for the AFL

Death by Stealth and the AFL is very good at it as they have shown over the last 2 years... One thing at a time that will grow to be total control. No I am not talking about a conspiracy theory BECAUSE ITS HAPPENING..

Enjoy your footy tomorrow and for the rest of the season..
Re the televising I am sure I heard Hopey say on WAFL world they were looking at 2016 to start the deal with 7? So if ABC pulls the pin this year who is going to cover 2015? Well we are getting used to it now with the RADIO broadcasting be non existant almost.. except for 91.3 who are really supporting WAFL with coverage of sometimes 2 games.

Just talk to the EF and Perth supporters who DONT HAVE A BROADCAST THIS WEEKEND.
This message represents the official view of the voices in my head

BC it doesn't matter what the WAFC say if the Eagles and Dockers want something different they will get it.

A/man I was less concerned about you; I was more interested in how you were going to rationalise the complete contempt the Dockers showed to the WAFL clubs and WAFL competition.

And now WAFC suggesting 18 game season. WTF. Bloody glad that Raponi and Hodyl spoke out. Raponi should run the WAFL-he always has plenty to say but alas it at least he bats hard for WAFL. I wish we could go back to 21 game season

Yes that's correct astro, an 18 round season has been spoken of. I'm on the understanding silly 7 and the 'so called' football commission both mentioned the shorter season because the broadcaster were becoming involved with the 2015 fixturing. How the hell a tv station can become involved with structuring the football fixtures is beyond me!?!? That's my understanding of it.

Thank god for Raponi - the only good thing about West Perth. The Subiaco president is Mr Invisible....

I wonder what's happened? Apparently old Bronte is connected with the sponsor.
Obviously weren't to be making a good enough return. Apparently silly 7 were saying the cost of broadcasting is over a 100 grand but the real cost is far below that. Either they can't count or there's something fishy there.

i was told Saturday at the footy that if i want to keep 20 games then tell my club. I advised DT in a polite manner that i thopugh tiwas best to retain 20 games. He was very good and said he would pass it on. I am saying that best you tell your club delegates what you want.
