Mate I find it is not turning over on posts very often.
Replies to Topics are very few if any. Just have a look at the times since last post on most topics. Ok a couple like Perth and Swannies turn over a lot and good on their supporters for that and showing interest but many of the others only have a post or 2 from a couple of regulars.

Not the fault of the board or the owners but just a lack of interst at times.
Dont know what the problem is besides a Lot of WAFL fans are lethargic. I speak to people at the games re the site and half have never heard of it.

Maybe that is the problem? A bit of publicity and making people aware of the site might be the solution? When I put posts on other sites particularly on FB I always leave a link to this site..

I notice a few create topics but that are not supported and they soon sink into oblivion..

Surely others have noticed this. You could come on once a week and still be up to date in a short while.

Dont know where you are comming from GRUMP :( You comment re my aims is well off the mark.. I try to promote interest in a lot of Footy etc and topics to keep the board turning over. Oh well off in Oct for 3/4 months so you wont have to worry about me then :)

Cardy, cardy was a jest, thought you would know that, never any offence or malice, just a good natured barb abt rivalry, ferals and GM's,

sorry if I offended,

if you are off then be safe and come back ready for a new foe the Jellifishies and the talonless royals
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

Mixing topics here but getting back to my point re OFF THE BOOT and GWN coverage of country Footy seems the Amateurs are going to get a show as well.

The Western Australia Amateur Football League (WAAFL) will embark on a new venture this week with the first episode of its new television show, Amateur Footy Time (AFT).

Airing on Thursday nights at 8pm on Foxtel’s Aurora 183, AFT is a 10 episode series that will be televised across the nation until the end of the 2013 WAAFL season.

Breakfast radio personality Steve Mills will host the series that will keep the 65 WAAFL clubs and associated amateur football community up to date with what’s happening in the League.

Developed by Local Media Services Company, AFT will be the only locally produced television show that showcases community football in Perth.

Each episode is shot entirely on location, and features all aspects of WAAFL club football in WA, and even features Masters, Integrated and Women’s football.

WAAFL General Manager David Armstrong said this was a great initiative for the league and one that would bring the football community closer together.

“Amateur Footy Time is another step forward for the WAAFL, a move that will keep everyone engaged with amateur football,” he said.

Series director David Macrae said the WAAFL's initiative and support of the new production had been fantastic.

"We can't speak highly enough of the league and clubs for coming together to put this show to air. Community football is the lifeblood of the sport in WA and this series will go a long way in showcasing how impressive the sport is in the community."

Throughout the series, the AFT team will travel all over the metro area, and even to the regions, seeking out all the characters of community football, showcasing highlights from on and off the field, going behind the scenes, and showing young and aspiring footballers how to improve their game.

Amateur Footy time will air on Thursday 18th July at 8pm on Foxtel 183.

The coaching group would like to thank all WAAFL clubs for their support throughout the three months of the program.

A special thanks goes to Jeff, Andy and the team at Canning for being so giving with their facilities and club rooms over the 13 week program.

To all other support staff including trainers and league officials your efforts have been greatly appreciated in allowing the program to run smoothly.

Finally to the players in this year’s squad your work ethic and general attitude has been outstanding and is a real credit to the character amongst the group.

We hope to see a strong turnout of WAAFL supporters on Saturday as this year’s group looks to create their own slice of history by regaining the Neil Judge Shield and becoming the first undefeated West Coast Eagles Under 19s side.

Cardy good idea, perhaps the guys in charge of this site could have a talk with the Football Budget and perhaps get some exposure of this site in the Budget. Perhaps ozfooty needs to tweet a comment or two!!!!!!

Thanks Swan42.. (I see you have posted on every topic today) interesting input as well. Good effort kept me busy for awhile and keeps the board ticking over. :)

Now with OZFOOTY. Which has nothing to do with u19 or WA Country v SA Country but keeps it up the top on the Thread, B)

I remember when Russell Dower got the FootyGoss off the ground. He actually started up FootyGoss at the end of the season at a Final. I was at the game forget which one though.WP were obviously playing.

He had a group of very attractive girls in FootyGoss Shirts handing out flyers etc for FootyGoss. Russ obviously knew a bit about marketing and pretty girls. The nice blonde got my attention fast.

Now I am not saying OZFOOTY should do that due to cost but as you say maybe a flyer in the FootyBudget and a bit of support from the WAFC/WAFL would go a long way with other advertisisng even on the WAFL Page on internet with a box ad for FREE. It is used a lot by WA and out of state people.

Just a couple of idea's. Would be interesting to see if the member rate jumps after this? At the moment 630 or there abouts. You can get this stat from down the bottom of the page. Now I suspect a lot of those members are Country and some spread around other topics so doesnt really say much for the WAFL input.
I think you would see it is usually the same people anyway who post on WAFL.. I could count the guys and name them who post on the WPFC thread anyway.

Food for thought. Sure Mike will be reading this. Bottom line OZFOOTY is a brilliant site with lots of features that I obviously like to use :P
A big thanks must to the OZFOOTY Admin for getting this site off the ground otherwise WE WOULD HAVE NOTHING! :(

I think WAAFL win the colts by a goal or two and the WACFL win the league by about four goals.
