Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this game is the sacked coach vs the replacement coach showdown.

Looks like a good match up between the two teams. Tigers in form. I like the way their big men have come good in the last few weeks. One has  moved to the back line and doing very well there. I also like their young centre half back, Davis, I think, and that live wire mid, Edwards?

Bolton and Rogers looking good too. I haven't seen West Perth this year much, so nothing to add about them.

Any news on ticket sales?

Looks like the WAFC are in luck with the weather, very warm week, surface will be better.

What is the capacity at Leederville? 14,000?

I know the 10K Covid Cap at Freo sold out in 2 days...

Looks like a good Grand Final.Claremont are on the back of two solid final victories.
West Perth are having a great season at all levels. And have a stable side with players who seem to have been playing forever.
14,000 lol.Attending a Perth Derby a few years back.Leederville struggled to house 4,500 that day.

I think the Tigers will be very competitive in the first half but the short turnaround between games will tell on them, particularly on a hot day and West Perth will pull away in the last quarter to win the flag.
The one thing that Claremont can use as confidence is that they have beaten the Falcons twice this year. To win I think they need to establish an early lead like they did against the Sharks.

Joondalup are a safe bet. Can't see Claremont winning this one. 6 day turnaround too. Another thing the WAFC have stuffed up. They do know how to make a rod for their own back. Disgraceful handling of the GF this season sadly it has devalued it too.

One thing to remember is that WP have only played 1 game of footy in a month. Sure there would have been match simulation and some pretty physical stuff at training during the intervening period but that's not up to the intensity of a GF.

It wouldn't surprise me one little bit if WP are off the boil to start with and have to come from a long way back to win the flag.

Reading in the West that Prescott has lost 3 grand finals at Claremont. No pressure there.

No ticket sales news suggests they're not selling that well perhaps. Ground looks a picture.

You could be right BC, I remember the 2008 GF where we did the same with 1 game in 4 weeks, then came up against a good young Swans outfit that raced to a 23 point lead I think it was halfway through the second before we woke up. But wake up we did when big Syrup Mapleston decided to get involved and we went in to halftime with a 4 point lead and it was game over from then on.

Claremont will need to do the same and get a decent lead then try and hang on against what will be a very rested and fresh Joondy. Mind you I think coach Harris along with Black, Nelson and Co will make sure there's no complacency within the group. Hope the Tiges get up but expect Joondy to finish over the top of them.
