Bazza, Mikeh and S. Seagull, you've moved me from "that's a crazy idea" to "it's not totally crazy, but I  don't like it."

It would be good to have that Saturday at Optus for the wafl. What about aflw? They could play Sunday, I suppose. 

But I don't feel like it's grand final time, yet.  Perhaps I could adjust.

Here's an idea. Why doesn't the afl work with the wafl and sanfl to make it work for all parties? Surely it's in the best interests of the afl. 



 

Get rid of the bye's too or at least only have one at the half way mark of the year. The season drags on too long for the WAFL players. They are at it for 9 months a year. I like the idea of having the GF during the AFL finals bye.
 

Yep get rid of the byes, and country games, just 800 turned up at the last one - utter waste of resources.

Another thing is the blight that is AFLW have bizarrely moved its season to starting now, meaning it drags on after the real stuff is over and will now be on even with a later WAFL GF.

Get in earlier and you avoid both AFL and AFLW.

A move to an earlier start means - It wont be played in summer we are talking autumn and winter.
