Good point CM. I can guarantee it will be played at a different venue if there's the slightest suspicion of a shifting surface if FART makes the GF.

West reporting today they are doing an end to end resurface at big expense for GF.

Heard them say this morning the current cold front coming through is going to be the last one before spring so hopefully we get a dry break so the ground can recover in time.

a returf on this scale would need at least a month to settle maybe more - it won't grow much at all so it would need to be solid underfoot otherwise great chunks will rip up easily

Another thing is thtas $40K straight off the top before the gates even open on the takings for the day and what ever profits the clubs share, 40K that otherwise would of gone into club coffers had it been played at a choice of three other grounds.
