Excellent day at the sheffield shield final yesterday. Lots of work going on at the waca. Enjoyed members stand.  I take it back, partially, about starting late. Was a hot day, too. 

A few wafl colours. That fanatical west Perth guy was there in his falcons shirt. A few east freo caps and one guy in a subi shirt. 

Also in previous years, there being more than 18 weeks of qualifying matches. That number seems to have become the normal, somehow. Late season starts will probably become the common notion too.
