In the Reserves competition, West Perth won the 1960 premiership then had to wait until 2014 to win their next one.
It also took Claremont 31 years to win their first flag in 1977. The Reserves began in 1946. Prior to 1977, Claremont had never played in a Grand Final, finishing third 4 times in 1951, 53, 57 and 70.

I believe that Perth hold the drought record of 48 years 1907-1955. That could soon be broken unless we do something drastic in the next few years 1977-2021 = 44 years. Would be nice to put that 2nd highest drought to bed this year and wind the clock back to at 0 and start again.
Not holding my breath about that though

Obviously I would like EF to break their drought This year Smokes, but it ain’t happening.  If Perth were to do it, it would be a huge boost for the WAFL as well.  I think it would also inject a bit of credibility into the WAFL.
Since we seem to be indulging in some wishful thinking: a Swans Perth GF played at the premier Aussie Rules stadium in Perth in 2021.
That is more likely than my wish, but EF v PFC would be a lot more “romantic”.

I suppose that is a matter of one's perspective?

Subi's 49 year drought record still stands, 1924 to 1973, only the D's are within spitting distance.
A sober reminder of what we once were and hopefully will never be again.

Only being able to win at home - is that something picked up from the Eagles?

It looks as if Swans and Perth have spent their recruiting cash and points well Tim Tam unlike your mob who don't seem to be doing as well and it doesn't appear as if your getting as much bang for your buck which is very bad news considering you've maxed out your points cap,but your quite welcome to get your wallet emptied out as well.

Hell  RL, I don’t normally stick my nose into a one on one argument , nor do I get personally abusive like you, but it still remains that your earlier flags belong to the EPEFC.

Bet Abba"s  "Money Money Money" was EP theme song back in those alignment premiership winning days RL....liked it so much they dipped their  snouts in the WCE trough a second time....with less premiership success sadly.......but still plenty of Abba being played on match day....
