As for the zones we have put submissions to the WAFL.
You may need to work with what you have got.
So it may be time to do it a bit better.

FFS get over it you say? Thank fuck you don’t run the club is all I can say. Anyone who accepts that as our lot in WAFL life is an idiot.

Poor old WC are unhappy with the way their stand alone team has worked out, well FMD, they pleaded and cajoled and bullied their way into having a stand alone WAFL team, they have made their bed, no lie in it you selfish f**kers!!

My view on the WCE reserves team is well-known.  If only the WAFC had a backbone.

Did anyone read "Clownsends" article in fridays paper on the poor quality of umpiring in the WAFL and also the need for zones, in particular Perths, to be examined and rectified?

Yes can't argue with that get maggetts back into the WAFL and while you're at it bring back Buckey, surely that will lift their level

Let me start with the quality of the umpiring.   I will highlight two examples that speak to the quality or more accurately lack thereof.  In our match against East Perth the Swans's player clearly grabbed hold of the East Perth player around the ankles.  There were no other players near those two, yet no free kick was given to the EP player.

The second example is the ridiculous free kicks awarded for deliberate out of bounds where the ball has travelled 30, 40 metres before bouncing out of bounds.  You can almost see the umpire preen himself running in to award the free.

With respect to WAFL footy in the 2000s compared to the 1970-1990 period there is barely any cyclical trend where all clubs in that earlier period had their time in the sun.  That is a problem because at the start of each season every clubs' supporters want some hope that the coming season is their club's time.  Clearly, that is not the case as it stands in the WAFL now.

Aligning with the Eagles (or Fremantle) is, in my opinion, not a solution because the WAFL club exists in name only when that happens.
