I know the points cap has been effective in curtailing the Dominance of Subi,with their inability to re recruit Zach Clarke a perfect example,but it has left some ex AFL listed players who are valued 10 points like Ledger, Curren,LEE and LOERSCH in no mans land,as theyv'e spent most if not all of the year playing reserves football,but would be considered unrecruitable by rival WAFL clubs because of their 10 point value.

Has to be a frustrating situation for those players.

From Claremont B.H. although he did play in the league second semi.

I see Tom Lee has been selected in the league GF but had been playing reserves for most of this season.

It would almost be worth the WAFL (or WAFC given they seem to make all the decisions) halving the points value of any player who played more reserves than league footy in a given season.
In days gone by, there was a much freer movement of players from reserves at one club to seniors at another, including the always-intriguing June 30 clearance deadline.
Obviously, a points system of some sort is essential so that the more financial clubs don't "stockpile" good players.

Tom Lee isn't a 10 pt player RL...he is Cl born and bred, same as Ledger, not sure why they are examples here and why they would be in no man's land. Pretty sure both Lee and Ledger would be playing regular league at a lot of other WAFL clubs weaker then Cl. If EF decide to play Loersch in the reserves and he is a 10 pt player, then that's EF issue for wasting their player points...ditto for any other club and their 10 pt players.

I’m going to assume that Lee, Ledger (while 1 pointers for Claremont) are 10 points for everyone else. I think that’s what RL was saying.

Check out Rule 2.1.2(d).
In the end the examples given (Lee and Ledger) are not particularly good ones because they each are at least 7 points on WAFL games played anyway
