Round 6 is already upon us, time flys when you are having fun. Thought I'd get started early.
Lets get into it, forget about last weekend (Although I am still seething about Lynwood Ferndales lack of hot chips)

Lynwood Ferndale v Ocean Ridge

Important game both clubs because they both sit 2-3 and you never want to be sitting behind the .500 win/loss ratio. a loss here and they fall away from the top. Its the battle of the clubs with the long grounds and black and yellow jumpers (be aware Onion Ridge they don't sell hot chips and bring your sunnies as seeing in the last quarter is tough). Given that Lynwood had 20 guys at Groovin' the MOO last weekend who will all no doubt be playing magoos, this week and who knows how many Onion Ridge players went down. Im going with Onion Ridge here to kick start there season
Onions by 3 goals.

Kelmscott v Gosnells

The ole rivalry continues. Kelmscott have only lost one game this season but have otherwise looked very good. Gosnells has had a good start for a newly promoted team. This will be a good game showing where they sit in the C1 pecking order. A loss for Gosnells could potentially see them slip to 7th. I think Kelmscott will be too good.
Kelmscott by 6 goals

Melville v Kingsley

What better way for Melville to start finding form than a huge win over Kingsley this weekend. Could be a long year for Kingsley. Not sure why the league team hasn't won a game but the Colts are undefeated.
Melville by 10+ goals at the Auskick oval.

Thornlie v Coolbinia West Perth

Can this week be the week Thornlie gets the first win for 2013. Coolbinia have had a good start and currently sit 5th. They did cop a hiding last weekend, but that was against a very good team. I think Coolbinia will bounce back in style this weekend.
CWP by 5 goals

Wanneroo v Kingsway MOTR

Its Match of the Round at The Showgrounds this weekend and what a contest it will be. Its also my favourite day, Ladies Day at the club, so I'd love to see a big crowd down, usually is. Mr Mysterious is a crowd favourite at these events so look out ladies.
Back to the game. Wanneroo sit undefeated and take on a Kingsway team who have only lost the one. Both teams wouldn't want to lose this one as the victor claims bragging rights and The Mayors Cup. Should be a great day for all.
Wanneroo to keep the streak alive
Wanneroo by 2 goals.

Not all well at Kingsley i hear after the League Coach & President both quit a few weeks ago after both were pushing for quite a few of the colts to play league but were told that they had a good shot at winning the colts (Most in the older 19 - 20 age group i believe) this season and wanted to keep them together.

Not 100% sure i follow there strategy considering that those Colts next year will probably be playing in the C2 comp as they are odds on to go down.

Surely if they have colts that are good enough to play league then that should be their priority in order to put the best league team on the park each week??

Collard to register 8 muffins in a tightly contested match

What a talent this young man is

Heard rumors he is in talks with GWS for a spot on their rookie list next season? Anyone can confirm or deny these rumors?

Very well said Leggo33. Guess it is all about individual glory down there rather than club success. Maybe these colts could play league and stop Kingsley moving to C2, in my opinion, that would be a better outcome than winning colts this year and playing C2 next year.

Dont know to many football clubs where the colts coach and players over rule the league coach and president. If true then the tail is wagging the dog. Playing C1 and not winning colts is better than playing C2 next year and winning the colts this year in my opinion.....

Its a tough call, I agree a colts coach should never be over riding a league coach but I have seen instances where a struggling club tries to force colts kids to play up so they leave. Most players coming into colts arent expecting to be thrust forward as a club's "savior" group and often the requirement to tow the club line so early in senior footy can put them off when they are just there to play with their mates.

Also why would they want to pass up a possible premiership to play for a team who hasnt come close to a win. Double up maybe but not play league exclusively I wouldnt think.

The problem Scooby is that i think 3 - 4 of the guy's currently playing colts actually played league last season but due to the "age" change the club wanted them to play in their correct "age" group. I doubt that their would be another club in any ammos grade that wouldnt want to not be able to put there best side out on the park each week. I know that several other clubs in the C1 (Kelmscott, Wanneroo, Kingsway etc) have several players in their League side that can still play colts yet they are picked where nest suited. I wonder how many of these Colts would hang around and play in the C2 comp next season which is where they are headed!

We have a couple at Lynwood that are only 19 but have not played colts this year. these guys are keen to play league footy and test themselves and they are good enough and work hard enough to be in the best 22 players at the club

Most of they guys at kingsley would be older aged colts I would expect having had our club play them earlier in the year.

I guess the question to be asked is, long term is it good for them as footballers to play in a grade where they can win and not be challnged, or are you better to challenge them in a higher grade, develop them to become better players and people and learn about their adversity (history is full of players that dont loose games in juniors and leave clubs when they are not winning in seniors)

The time has come boys......The King is back in town!!!! The Fevolution is in P-City and his management are filthy the Peoples Panda is stealing the show. Bowling 244 at Melville Superbowl on Tuesday night before heading to the Hipe Club for backpackers night and shooting home for a threesome with a couple of our Oriental Panda lovers. Its a tough life being a fan favourite.

Fair to say i was a bit flat at the conclusion of that episode.

So after a day of rehab and a feed at Jamie Oliver's new restaurant last night the Panda is back to life and ready to hit the track tonight in preparation for this weeks clash with Kingsley. Just quietly, i snuck out and purchased a brand new pair of boots for this weekend as well which im a little bit excited about. The MCG Sports Museum has requested my last boots to put in for show. They will be the only boots to be worn for an entire season and not miss one target or shot on goal. Rumour has it they are going to throw Tony Lockett's boots that he kicked his 1300th goal with in the bin and replace them with mine.......Fair call really. Tony who?

Now for some tips.

Lynwood v Ocean Ridge should be an interesting game between two teams at about the same level in their footy. I havent seen either team play this year so ill take a stab in the dark and go with Lynwood. They will be smarting after their belting last week and the only thing that i remember of OR last year is that not one player on their team can kick a drop punt. Ive never seen so many flour bags in my life!!!!

Kelmscott v Gossy is match of the round for mine. Two teams from the other side of the tracks and hopefully they belt the suitcase out of eachother for the crowds enjoyment. Kelmy by 4 goals

Melville v Kingsley any other year would have beem match of the round as there is a bit of a rivalry there. Unfortunately there looks like there is a bit of unrest in the ranks at Kingsley and their season is spiralling out of control because of it. Fortunately, the King will be having a run which is sure to see the crowd filing through the turnstyles at Rams Stadium. Go easy on the private messages Panda Fans.....Ive already given away my ticket issue to friends and family so if you havent get one yet you might have to listen to it on the radio. After hearing about the Ladies Day at Wanneroo, the Panda will be having 35 disposals and 8 goals in the early game before shooting up to the showgrounds to drink tins and hit on women......See you at the bar Mr M!

Cooly will smash Thornlie like a red headed stepchild!

Finally, Wanneroo v Kingsway at the show ground......Fair to say if the Panda gets up there the ladies will be sliding of their bench seats with excitement in the hope that i choose them to take around the back of the rooms on the outer wing while their bf slogs it out on the field. And dont stress fellas, you'll know if i hit your missus as ill definitely open her up with my extreme bear girth!
The Big V  love playing on ladies day and no doubt will be Whoooooing all day long like the bunch of red necks that they are.... If you're not familiar with the Roos behaviour type in 'django unchained white bag scene' into google and watch the youtube clip. Im almost positive their entire senior list is the cast for that scene. Anyway, its about that time of year where Kingsway fall away and as Sam Newman says, "we'll just keep tipping <add undefeated team in here> until they give us reason not to by losing." Wanneroo by 2 goals in a very punchy encounter.

Good luck for all games gents. Time for me to go on a coffee date with some Euro skank i met last night at the bar in Jamies Restaurant......... While you blokes work for the man, the Panda has the ladies working the corn............"Give me the butter baby, give me the butter." Try saying that with your mouth full. These girls are talented.

Panda it's always a joy reading your comments. After seeing the "Rammettes" at last years C1 Reserves final, please let me know when Ladies Day is at Ram Stadium as I look forward to finding a potential Mrs Mysterious.
