Let us begin this week in the great In the words of Frank Sinatra
And now, the end is near and so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full, I've travelled each and every highway (thankfully some less than others)
But more, much more than this I did it MR M’S WAY
That’s right folks is the last A Grade write up for MrM until at least the year 2021 so I am sure will be missed, and the folk on this train commute could probably not care any less, but MrM will solider on, with a tear in his eye and complete his duties for you all.
This weekend we do have 3 fantastic games of football and the weather is looking quite good so we shall see some good contests at arguably the best WAFL ground. NOTE to University fans if your team is ahead be wary of the Can Bar and intoxicated rival supporters that is all.
Off the field MrM is thriving and with cricket season around the corner you know MrM will be in amongst the action again, the best part about cricket is obviously the tea break, but MrM always laments the fact no hot chips are ever produced. Fresh scones with some cream and jam are always a winner though.
OK, let us look at all 3 grades.
COLTS
Fremantle C.B.C v North Beach @Bassendean Oval
Freo C.B.C should be confident heading into this game after they dismantled North Beach in week one of the finals and then knocked off the best side the week after. They also have the chance to do the double Colts win after their second Colts side managed a good win last weekend. North Beach though, they have strung together two good wins and will be looking for a third this weekend. Both sides have good players from what MrM saw through the season, I am going with CBC here, bigger ground, they looked very good when MrM saw them last and one does hope North Beach have their registrations in order.

RESERVES
North Beach v University @Bassendean Oval
An impressive season from the North Beach Reserves so far this season, they obviously boast impressive depth and will be looking to repeat last season efforts with a flag. Standing in their way though another club that definitely has impressive depth with all sides except one making the Grand Final (unlucky Colts). Uni will be hoping they can do the double here with a Reserves ad League win, but that doesn’t always come easy and given they are up against a formidable North Beach side, it might be a stretch too far, but anything can happen. The beach boys should get it done here, but Uni on a big ground…look out for an upset.

LEAGUE
University v Fremantle C.B.C @Bassendean Oval FOTW
It is all to play for here, and definitely is easy to see why it is the Final Of The Week.
University stormed home in the back half of the season and given they lost arguably their best player to WCE WAFL it is a huge effort. They are as good a team as MrM has seen this season and even on the wettest of days they used the football like it was dry. Fremantle C.B.C should not be counted out though and especially will want to go one better after last season. They also would be feeling very confident after such a good win last weekend over a side that stumbled towards the end losing their last 3 games. It is always a tough one to tip Grand Finals, but with both sides having strong midfields, whoever can win that contest, will win the game. I think Uni may have the slight edge in that regard and can see them claim another A Grade Premiership.

Good luck all, get down and support and enjoy it.
As for MrM see you when I am looking at you.
