Another big round and questions being asked already about the real Finals contenders and the likely relegation candidates.

For mine, Wesley still a serious finals contender with the other five entrenched in the top 5 at present.

Anybody who doubted me on West Coast, I hope now accepts they will be there in September..

North Fremantle and North Beach with Kalamunda and Mt Lawley, looking down the barrell of relegation.I never thought that North Beach would be a team where the "relegation" word would be mentioned!!

Trinity Aquinas 2nd (3 & 1) Vs Kelmscott 1st (4 & 0)
TA’s consistent form evaporated on Saturday under constant pressure from the University side. Kelmscott have won their first four games by an average of 6 goals, including a massive win by 12 goals against CBC two weeks ago. It will be close but I think in front of a parochial crowd at the shoebox, TA’s may just get up.
TA’s by 2 goals

West Coast 3rd (3 & 1) Vs Mt Lawley 10th (0 & 4)
With a side desperate to prove themselves up to the task this year, WCC have surprised most with their early season form. They boast the best full forward in the competition and a very strong on ball squad. On form West Coast should consolidate their position in the top 3. However Mt Lawley obviously came to play on Saturday and only just went down by 2 goals against Wesley. Mt Lawley will continue to improve and I expect less than 5 goals in it at the end.
West Coast by 4 goals

North Fremantle 7th (1 & 3) Vs Kalamunda 10th (0 & 4)
The Magpies were certainly not disgraced going down by 4 goals against the top side Kelmscott. Similarly Kalamunda lost by 6 goals against a CBC side looking to redeem themselves after the previous week’s performance. It is really a season defining game for both clubs. Another loss to Kalamunda and they won’t be worrying about finals in 2015, just trying to avoid relegation. Similarly Nth Freo won’t want to start their season at 1 & 4. I expect the Maggies at home will be far too strong.
North Fremantle by 4 goals

CBC 4th (3 &1) Vs North Beach 8th (1 & 3)
Whilst CBC easily accounted for Kalamunda on Saturday, they are probably still licking their wounds about the 13 goals defeat inflicted on them by Kelmscott the previous week. What does one say about North Beach? If ever the club is to make a statement, it has to be this week. For WCC to hold them to a miserable 2 goals for the match (probably their lowest score in 20 years) and in doing so subject them to a massive 13 goal defeat, has really started the Chinese whispers again. Sometimes loose talk can be self perpetuating and another dismal performance will probably see a change in coaching ranks at this once great club.
CBC by 7 goals

Wesley 6th (2 & 2) Vs University 5th (3 & 1)
The Grand Final rematch will be interesting in that it will tell us whether Wesley are still a serious contender in 2015 for the Flag. They are still to defeat a top 5 side this year and come up against a resurgent University who made the formidable Trinity Aquinas side look fairly ordinary on Saturday. Wesley was less than convincing against Mt Lawley getting up by only 12 points. Wesley will need to bring their 2014 form to have any chance. University should fire up this week as well and I don’t expect them to drop this game.
University by 5 goals

Great write up Big Al.
I see things going this way this week.

TA's - to good at the shoebox.
West Coast- should get over the line.
Kalamunda - to get on the board this week in a close one.
CBC - Will run wild against Beach if they dont turn up to play.
Wesley - to get up at home in a close one. They have to much to play for.

An exception on the ta's vs kelmscott, if it is constent pressure that won it for uni, kelmys preasure has been absolutley sensational in all four gamez especially the cbc game hence the 10 goal win purely on that I puck kelmy by 2 goals

TAs to defeat Kelmscott 4 goals (Home Ground Advantage)

WestCoast surprise packet but wont be a surprise to see them beat MtLawley. 5 goals

Nth Freo hard to beat at Gil Fraser but will tip Kalamunda too get on the board only just.

CBC to defeat Nth Beach 8 goals

Wesley Curtin to make it 2 in a row at home and defeat Uni in a close one. 8pts

Is the Ninja one of them? I saw earlier in the week he'd requested a trade to Nollamara.
