Hey Maggie, if true that sucks, definitely. Seems to be the way of the world lately, clubs are struggling for colts age players, and junior clubs are struggling for 17 year olds to play for them

However I believe its better that it happens now so that every club gets the same bye, rather than happening during the year when some clubs have had the chance to play them and get a decent percentage, and others may not have.

I can confirm this.

This is the year is where the year11/12 age split came through and numbers have been affected - unfortunately a lot of the boys that were going to play have found jobs now and are unavailable. Rather than scratch for numbers every week and possibly have forfeits, it was decided to pull the team out now and make it an even playing field for the rest of the comp.

The WAAFL & Collegians (Rd 1 opponents) have been notified by the president.

Whitey if that's right that's unbelievable. Ellenbrook have a new massive area to get kids from and the demographic suits. Very surprising Ebrook can't get a colts side together, compared to other suburbs.

Whitey(number 32) we nominated a colts team and got knocked back, all players came through our juniors with a coach since auzkick...so we tried a host club ( basically like the Mali colts at Canning)..all was set up and ready to go till 2 days ago when the waafl knocked it on the head..so now we have too many blokes for our sunday team..granted some young fellas will find a new colts team to join....but hay a ready made colts team with all admin, support and financial backing is dead

Me personally have just left why should i donate my time and energy anymore..fishing sounds good
