Watched quinns play on the weekend, wasn't to impressed with there bigger bodies on the field, seemed very lazy and flat!! Number 8 is an absolute gun and a player to watch, seem to have a lot of little blokes who like to run, but with out those bigger bodies protecting them they might come unstuck!!

Sounds like you are a retired player. I hope Swan Valley go well this year as I have been associated with them in the past . Not to sure what they have now though.

G'day lads
Mossie Park playing ocean ridge this weekend. Finished last season with an injury list bigger than the playing list and guys were having to play both ressies and league just to get full teams on the park. Managed to get more numbers down this year and training has been pretty sharp so looking forward to seeing how some of the new cattle go in our first proper hit out on saturday

So the fixtures are out(subject to change). round 1 just round the corner.

Manning v Swan Valley @ James Miller Oval
Bassendean v Canning VPSP @ Jubilee Reserve
Kenwick v Canningvale @ Mills Park
Quinns District v Warnbro @ Ridgewood Park
Mosman Park v SNESA @ Tom Perrot Reserve

we get Last years C3 Premiers first up at home, Warnbro get the big drive out of the way round 1. some great looking games.

sorta hard to pick a Game of the round this early i think it is a tie between manning/swan valley and basso/cvpsp. with the ladder seperating both teams in either game by a single win. probably lean more toward the basso game as even though they finished below canning in the league they had premiership colts and reserves.

all opinions welcome. and just wondering if we are doing the tipping on here or will there be a thread created weekly like there was on footygoss?

Hello Gents,
So Cricket has finished and Footy begins.
Have just made the move from Footygoss. Glad this site is easy to use.
I am affiliated with newcomers to C2 in Canningvale.
Not knowing much about any of the teams in C2 apart from a little about the old Sunday League sides in Canning, Kenwick & Manning and our last years Grand Finalists SNESA, can anyone tell me a bit more about the teams in the comp?
From the CV prospective, we had a good intra-club hit out on the weekend and are fielding three teams this season with the Colts coming back. We have scratchies against Brentwood and Lynwood in the next few weeks.
Our League side will be very competitive again I would think, our Reserves have lost a few older heads bit still have the ability to win a few games and our Colts will be mainly made up of the Under 17's side from last year who were runners up with a few of the East Freo Development/Colts Players in and out as the year goes on pending selection I would think.
Looking forward to hearing from you all.
Bring on the season.
Loves kicking goals, passing them off is only an option.

Canningvale SFC - Established 2011
C2R Premiers 2015
C2 (Colts - Laurie Keene) Premiers 2013
C3 Premiers 2012
C4 Premiers 2011

Warnbro - should more than hold their own. haven't played them in a few years but the trip down there always made for good games. the travel could play a factor especially in their games against Quinns for players getting there

Mosman Park - would've come down last year but for teams pulling out they stayed in C1 i haven't seen this team play but coming from C1 should be able to compete and i'd say even make finals.

CVPSP - i was surprised as i along with many had them to play against gosnells in the Grand final. will come back very hungry and some of the size they possess makes them a difficult matchup

Bassendean - With their colts having an undefeated season and reserves taking the grand final their depth isn't in question. they have dangerous players all over the ground and can score in a hurry if they're allowed.

Kenwick - Hard to do a write up on the team i play in. last year ended slightly dissapointingly we are looking to make amends

Quinns - a very hard running outfit who if given space can run teams ragged in a half. as with Warnbro the travel could play a factor with player availability. i expect them to do well.

Swan Valley - finished last year with a flurry after taking the late opportunity to come up. surprised a lot of teams with their competitiveness and sheer will to play.

Manning - manning have some dangerous players it just seemed that they didn't all fir at one time for whole games, if they can do that they could push the top teams. the trips down to their kidney bean of an oval is always made better by the burgers

Canningvale - from what i've seen will give this grade a shake have barely been troubled in the last couple of years. their reserves have been competitive but not as dominant as the league.

SNESA - don't know all that much about this team but league and reserves both finishing third shows they have depth.

this is all speculation, Hearsay and a fuzzy memory of seasons past.

here you go L.A.G. i did this at the start of the thread. this was all from what happened last year and what i'd seen of other teams. new year could bring anything but it's something to go on
