Well we are here. I hope everybody enjoyed a wonderful night on Monday, thanks WAAFL for always putting on a great show. Award winners were decided but we still await the Grand Final winners. Well done to North Fremantle who have a team in all three of the Colts, Reserves and League. You'd suggest it's going to be a big few nights at the club if they all win.
All games to be played at Lathlain Park and the weather is already looking a bit better than last year which might help North Freo, but then again it also favours Kelmscott slightly. It's been a long journey but let's have a look at all 3 games which will decide the Premiers in B Grade for season 2014.
Drew Banfield Colts
North Fremantle v Collegians - 10.00am Lathlain Park
Previous Meetings This Season
North Fremantle 12.4 76 defeated Collegians 8.3 51
North Fremantle 7.11 53 defeated Collegians 5.11 41
North Fremantle 11.8 74 defeated Collegians 6.4 40
Well North Freo are definitely in the box seat here and have been the stand out colts team all season. They are easily the best colts team I have seen and they play good team football. Collegians shouldn't be counted out though as they also have the chance to really grab something for the club this season in what was an otherwise disappointing season. I think North Freo should be to good here.

B Reserves
North Fremantle v Hamersley Carine - 12.10pm Lathlain Park
Previous Meetings This Season
North Fremantle 13.10 88 defeated Hamersley Carine 1.2 8
North Fremantle 14.8 92 defeated Hamersley Carine 4.3 27
Well once again we have a North Fremantle side who have been the benchmark all season. They have a lot of bigger stronger bodies and with many very unlucky to not be playing league football. Hamersley usually have a good Reserves side as they usually have players ranked 20-35 all of the same standard which is why they can contend for a Reserves flag. North Freo have blown away Hamersley in these past games but I don't think they will win by so much on Saturday. They will still be too good for the win though.
North Freo by 3 goals
B League
North Fremantle v Kelmscott - 2.30pm Lathlain Park
Previous Meetings This Season
North Fremantle 10.9 69 defeated Kelmscott 9.10 64
North Fremantle 8.11 59 defeated Kelmscott 5.8 38
Well this is the big game and they one we have all been waiting for but it's definitely not the one we expected. Most people tipped North Freo to be in the Grand Final but few of us (I'd say maybe one person said Kelmscott and we laughed at them...sorry man!) tipped Kelmscott. It's been a very gallant effort to do what Kelmscott have done and I tip my hat off to them. Both these sides will be in A Grade next season and it will take a lot more hard work to remain their but I think both these sides can do it. Personally I'm happy to see both these sides go as it now means 2 less long car trips for the games. Say what you want about both these sides but one way or another they have earned the right to be here and you can't take it away from them.
North Freo much like the two times I've spoken about this club already in this post they have clearly been the best side all season and have obviously put in a. Big effort to get back to A Grade and win a few flags along the way. They have good players all over the ground and you'd expect that they might test Kelmscott with that. Kelmscott have been very good, as I did point out, when they do play football, they look very good and are especially very hard to beat. They might be tested by some of North Freo's players but I'd say Kelmscott have a few players who could truly break the game open and run away with it.
It could come down to the battle of the small forwards with Monteath and Ninyette very dangerous and capable of taking the game away within 5 minutes for each of the respective sides. It would be very hard to go past North Freo here because they have been the benchmark all season. It's forecast as a dry day with a little chance of rain. It might aid Kelmscott who like to run and use the football but they can also throw their weight around when needed. It is surely to be a fiery physical game and as good as Kelmscott has been they might just not win here. However if North Freo loses either the Colts or Reserves or both I'd expect Kelmscott to win mainly because the North Freo crowd would be silent. But I'll say...

Well that's it folks MrM's last preview for 2014 it's been a good season, I've thoroughly enjoyed the "banter" and at time even though I felt like I was talking to myself overall we've had good fun. Sadly Mr Mysterious may be no more. For MrM had become Mr Not So Mysterious. However can I just say, only a few people know who the real MrM is and for those who think they do, just remember you may be fooled...
For season 2015 I'd like to say to all those clubs who read this to join in on the fun. For those clubs who ban players from writing on forums like this...shame on you!!
Good luck to all those playing on the weekend.
