Ok, wowee, who would have thought we are facing off in another grand final!! The playing group always knew we had the talent but there were a few good teams going round in C3! Any way the rest is history, we have finished 4 teams seasons in the last 4 weeks, not many thought we would do it, but we have, and now there definitely is no tomorrow win lose or draw!

This weeks Grand final sees the minor premiership team in Kenwick facing off against a 4th placed Brentwood, albeit equal 2nd on points. Kenwick have been the stand out team all year and most assumed they would make the grand final, so really it is theirs to lose. Last time we went out there they taught us a good lesson which hopefully we have learnt from. Whilst earlier in the year we were able to get on top of them on our home ground. Now it is a mutual ground which is quite large like both our ovals, so should suit both teams, Kenwick run extremely hard and are a very disciplined team who stick to their structures which we are obviously going to try and break down.

Selection night on Thursday will be very difficult, but at the end of the day it is a whole squad that gets you to a grand final and the coaches just have to select the best 22 available! Congratulations to Arnie for taking out the association B&F, hopefully he can have another great game on the week end.

I think the Brentwood boys can definitely do it, if they come with the right attitude and hit the ground running early, winning form is good form, and Kenwick have played one game in 4 weeks, which history has shown is not always the best preparation. Obviously this will be a cracking game, but I think the boys will get the job done by 7 points!

Kenwick should win with ease, there non stop running and the way they create space and lead all day will be too good for brentwood

Well done to the bulldogs for making the grand final and earning promotion. It will be very interesting to see how both teams cope in C2 next season with Kenwick not having a colts this year and Brentwood having a reserves side that did not play finals footy as well as a colts side that got belted week in week out. Both clubs you would think will need to add some depth in order to have some joy in 2015. As for the immediate future I think Kenwick have been the classier side all year and should outrun the bulldogs on the wide surface. In saying that, if the bullies ruckman provides some more silver surface to those mids a quick run of goals is always likely.

A shame to see the other 2 games at the oval not being recognised. In the 2's Ellenbrook will play Ballajura for the big prize. This will be a cracker with heaps of talent from both sides on display. I'll take Balla in a game that could go right down to the wire.


The colts will be on first where Ballajura will play Belmont. Both teams have plenty of young talent on offer that will defnitely benefit the future of both clubs in years to come. I will also take Ballajura in this one.

I agree about the lack of talk on these games but there haven't been too many contributors from any of those sides on the forum throughout the year. there is also an E grade grandie after the league between Safety Bay and Roleystone. I know a number of our supporters are heading down early to get good spots and watch the other games. on our game we have split our games this year and it looks to be a fantastic game to end a good season for both sides. I think the weekend will be about which side can settle first and implement their gameplan, Brentwood have premiership players from last year so shouldn't get ahead of themselves but we have a number of older heads around to keep everyone's mind on the job. looking forward to hard fought contest.

So I have played both sides. What do use boys think the strengths are of your teams. Were will the game be won

Haven’t seen much of either grade but for what it’s worth ill back Ballajura in for the reserves, I know Ellenbrook have had an outstanding season, yet I recon balla are just a bit tougher and have had a good finals series, while ellenbrook have played one game in 4 weeks.

In the colts I will also take Ballajura, no reason, just think they will win.

E1 I’ll take safety bay, only because we played against Roleystone last year and I witnessed firsthand how easily they can fold over.

Nice try bomber, but I will wait and see what Clarkson thinks the strengths of his side are. Brentwood don’t have any strengths, lucky to be playing really, kenwick should be able to just rock up and take the flag away no problems... and I am pretty sure the game will be won at Gosnells reserve

I think it's too hard to assess your own teams strengths I can't think that non bias to pick them out. you'd be better off asking the other teams as they would have had to counter any strengths they saw from either side.

But seriously IMO usually the side that gets more midfield dominance, which allows their forwards to hit the scoreboard will win.

Brentwood's ruckman is first class and will give his mids a good ride, if they can capitalise on that and hit the scoreboard pressure will go onto Kenwick and Brentwood will win, if Kenwick can manage that pressure, and not get flogged out of the guts, allowing their half back line to run and rebound to score then it will come down to who takes their chances.

Kick straight boys, bad kicking is bad footy, however in a GF bad kicking will cost you the season and a chance at a premiership

Going to be a hard game. I'm hoping the week off is gonna be shit for Kenwick. From my swan view pov, I'd like to see the Brentwood boys take it out. All the best bulldogs, hope you boys get up.
