Dirty Weekender,

It has been my experience that the perennial strong A Reserves Teams (TA’s, Uni, NB) are so because of strong colts programs feeding talent up the grades. In addition there is very little difference in playing ability from the bottom 8 players in the League side and top 10 players in the reserves side. Most of these players will interchange frequently though the year especially when injuries strike or when coaches take the luxury of picking horses for courses. Most of the colts that transition into senior footy will do 1 or 2 seasons in the reserves (unless they are ready with a body mature enough to handle League footy).

I agree voice from the outer. League teams are what it is all about and where the club sits. But some sort of sustainable depth and culture is needed too no doubt, it will be a test for kelmscott. I heard a slight rumour that 2 big names might be returning next year by the name of collard (Leading goalkicker at perth) and moody? Anyone care to comment?

On another note i dont agree with their promotion. They cheated us at our home ground, knocking one of our colts boys out. Us roo boys should be in this GF!!! We cant wait til they come back to b-grade in a year and relish the opportunity to return the favour...

If they get one or two injuries they will be stuffed. If any of their star players leave for greener pastures they will be non competitive next year.

Big AL - I believe the pastures are fairly Green at Kelmscott mate,

We shouldnt worry about how they might go in A grade in 2015? The point is they are in the GF and in the best 2 sides and thus will get promoted. If they stay there thats great, if they dont well its back to B grade and they must try and stay there with an ambition to get back to A grade.
Scabs have choked the last 2 yrs and dont deserve to get there so thats too bad for them.
We got dropped this yr from B grade after making finals last yr because of a bad yr and now we have to fight to get back to B grade for 2016. Its just the way it is
