good game down at the kennel, brentwood started well and kept going all day, credit to manning who also had a dip right up to the final siren, yet are obviously missing a couple quality players. We basically scored 6 goals a quarter, where manning scored two in the first, two in the second, then one a piece for the last two quarters.

Interesting to see Kenwick get up at kingfisher, would love to read a write up and Ellenbrook keep their season alive by beating swan view!

I got down to kingfisher just on quarter time of the Brentwood v Ballajura Colts game. Balla have some very skilled colts coming through and I think I only saw Brentwood score once with the Balla colts running out easy 17 goal winners.

On to our games, the 2’s have hit a rough patch mid season after starting the season off well. In this game we struggled to make any in-roads while Balla seemingly had the run on constantly but still being bigger bodied around the packs. There were some good signs from a few of our younger players who performed admirably under pressure but in all it looked like we had half a team that was interested in attacking the ball hard and the others content to watch. Balla ended up winning by 16 goals though that could’ve been much higher had they converted.

The league game was easily the hardest physically contested game we have played this year neither side taking a backward step when attacking the football and that made for an exciting game that left a few banged up and broken bodies. Balla kicked a couple of quick goals early to have the lead at quarter time. The 2nd started the same way with Balla kicking a couple I think the biggest lead was about 5-6 goals about halfway through this term the game turned with Kenwick kicking the next 4 to make the half time score 8.6 – 6.4. The pace didn’t slow down after the break in the next quarter Kenwick kicked 5.4 to Ballas 2.3 making the 3 quarter time score 10.9 – 11.8 making for I’m sure a very entertaining last quarter to watch. Balla didn’t give up and forced a number of turnovers resulting in goals. One of these was from yours truly kicking directly to a Ballajura player about 40 out on a rough angle which even though his kick fell short resulted in a goal, which number 14 from Ballajura pulled me up on asking if I would write about that one so there you go mate. In the end we took the 4 points with the final margin being 10 points. 12.12 – 14.10. we now have to look forward to a rematch with Brentwood hoping to avenge our earlier loss.

and the tipping ladder. we have a new joint leader with Gotheball having a rough week with 2 and Footballr one of 3 to get the 4 along with Sticks and redboots.
