Canning vale v basso def match of the round. Word is that no krackour or Chris yarren today for basso. That will really test basso depth, based on that canning vale should prevail.

Canning Vale vs Bassendean;

Correct, no Krakouer or Yarran, but still a great close game of footy. Bassendean have lots of silky players especially the indigenous guys.

The game itself not much of a spectacle, both teams didn't move the ball all too well in my eyes. Basso got off to a good start kicking the first two, before we pulled it back to be down by a goal at the first change. Second quarter was much of the same hard fought scrappy footy with our guys managing to win the quarter to go in to half time 3-points up. Third term again saw much of the same before we kicked the last goal of the term to be a goal and a half up at the final change. The Cougars managed to kick the first three of the final term to get out to a 4-goal lead before Basso kicked the last two only to run out of time.

My new name should be Loves-A-Point as I had a mare in front of the sticks and my old mate Ace did his knee - hope you get back on the track soon mate!!

In the Reserves an interesting game. Basso had far more scoring shots but lost the game. Our twos were perhaps a bit weak on the weekend with a few guys stepping up into the 1's as well so lucky to get the 4-points out of the game.

In the Colters, Basso far too speedy, far too good. Few little scuffles as per usual when a bunch of 18-year olds are trying to out testosterone each other haha. Good signs for Basso's future.

Was absolutely fantastic to once again witness the Mossie umpire.
In the reserves someone actually kept the free kick count, and it was an incredible 15-0. Fair enough Warnbro won by 14 goals so im sure they never deserved a free !!!
In the league from what a saw not very different, except I saw him give a free for a blatant trip to Warnbro (maybe a 15-1 count but not sure).
He ruined a good close game of footy in the league, but Im sure there club are happy as got them over the line.
Well done to the Mossie boys for hanging around for a beer post league game !!!

Top 2 is now assured in C2. It is a matter of who finishes on top. 3rd-5th pretty much sown up with order just to be finalised.
Interesting post from u Forward 50, raved early on about ur club noranda and seem to having a dig at them about their selection policy???
Seems as though they have a bunch of boys running around in the twos that are too soft to step up to league football or is ur club about winning a ressies flag now??

Yes freo for the flag, unfortunetly this year for Noranda it's all about keeping our heads up in terms of the league
So many ring ins after a seriously bad run of injuries throughout.

Colts are looking good but they have some very serious issues with several undisciplined players that continue to selfish and barbaric.
Ressies keep to them selves and why not.

But due to previous years actions by the Noranda football club myself and many others won't be back
Cuurently its a very fractured club with all teams keeping within themselves

To me a football club is all one no matter what age, grade you play, ability and how long you have been there.
Colts play they leave, ressies play and they leave no real support and no real loyalty or mate ship

I'm gonna get bagged and hung for this but the truth is there just come down and see how fractured we are at the moment.

Happened towards the end of 2013 and happened again now

Shit to hear forward 50. Noranda looked on the up and up through the grades. So many knocking them along the journey through jealously of not being involved in the team/s. Once the teams are too segregated the club becomes that too. Train together with no favourites and all feel they have a chance. Ex player rant ova
