Looks like forrestdale season is ova they were highly over rated at the start of the season. Good to see the ridge boys find some form and giv the fast improving bayswater a 7 goal touch up they are only 1 game from 2nd spot. Looks like the bay vs Roley game was a cracker with the bay winning by 2 goals that will be a massive ego booster for them rumours tell me they played the game with 8 of there starting players out injured can any of them confirm if that's true ? Who is goin to be the team to stop there winnIng streak ?

Good win by Ocean Ridge keeping the coach happy. 5 goals to 0 with the wind in the first quarter won the game. Couldn't believe the Bayswater captain won the toss and went into the breeze with a massive storm on the horizon.

Ridge had a great day against Bayswater turning around some pretty poor form from the last few weeks. Ridge jumped out of the blocks early kicking four goals to none in the first with the breeze. Bayswater lifted in the second putting the Ridge defence under the pump but only managed one goal with the breeze before Ridge kicked one late. After half time Ridge again jumped out of the blocks kicking three goals in the first five minutes of the quarter. Bayswater responded throwing everything they had at Ridge kicking three of the last four goals of the quarter and narrowly missing a shot after the siren. Six goals up and playing at home it was always going to be tough to come back against the Ridge, once they got it into their forward line, the midfield set up the wall the was able to cut off Bayswaters exit from defense very effectively and was only assisted when the rain came. It was tough footy all day with Ridge showing what they can do against a good side when they play four quarters.

Bit early to calling the season for anyone there Wolf, we're not even halfway through yet. But at 1 and 5 after six and two of the top three sides to play it's hard to see the turn around coming for Forrestdale.

The Competition is starting to take shape with 7 teams looking to be still contention for the finals and three maybe dropping of the pace.
Roleystone came down from the hills without their coach who was away working and really took it up to Safety Bay at their wind blown home ground. The Tigers proved that they can play at larger ovals and ran hard all day but could not get over the Stingers whose inside knowledge of their home ground on a cold wet windy day was just the advantage they need . Not having Glen Coppin run the game for Roleystone gave his counterpart Richard Dodsen a decided advantage and Roleystone will be confident of matching the a Stingers on the return leg.
Ocean Ridge played 4 good quarters and proved that when they get a good team on the park that they can match it with any of the top teams after beating Bayswater by 6 goals though it looks like they were handed the game when the Bayswater captain foolishly elected to go against the howling breeze in the first quarter after winning the toss .
Coolbellup beat Nollamara by 9 goals and got into the 5 for the first time this season. Cooby are definitely improving each week .Nolla won't know were their next win is going to come from and have more pain to come with some top side to play in the next few weeks.
Forrestdale were rumoured to be paying out a bit of cash to some players . They may have to get a refund as they have not fired a shot this year and went down to Quinn's by 6 points to have their season pretty much ended as they now sit 1 and 5 and look to be a long way of the pace. Quinn's have shown some good form at times but lack some depth to be genuine contenders.
Melville kept in touch with the five by defeating Swans by 4 goals. The Rams have had a huge turnover of players and if they can settle their team and have a good run with injuries may worry a few teams

I wouldn't say winning the toss and going into the breeze handed us the game, or that the result would have been much different had Bayswater gone with it in the first. I was surprised though, I was going with it if I'd won the toss. It was good hard clean footy from both sides for four quarters, and we all shared a beer after the game, just the way sport should be. I look forward to the return match at Bayswater which should be another good game.

As HotSauce eluded to, we came out wanting to play footy as a team and maintained it for the four quarters. Our goal now is to maintain that standard for the rest of the season, even with the constantly changing team that most in E grade would be familiar with.
