Back in their B-Grade days their crowd was

actually boycotted their next home game.
So maybe the players can pull that card too.

As a player once you sign a clearance and pay fees you are a member of the league and covered under the By-Laws.

WAAFL By-Law 31 deals with Vilification and includes penalties under 31.6.

Unfortunately the By-laws would only be enforceable to members of the league (players and clubs officials) and not enforceable on spectators as you have said. The issue of spectator behaviour needs to be address by the clubs whom they are affiliated to, it’s the only way under the current system.

Jackfrost I agree that behaviour is very ordinary but your comment aint much better. This topic wasn't raised for that crap. It was to find out if our situation was isolated or if others have had to deal with the same issues and to get the message out again that this behaviour shouldn't be tolerated at all.

my biggest disappointment was that the club officials, coaches, staff etc were all in ear shot and did nothing, not even a single word was said.
as vice president of my own club i sure as hell would be standing up against my own supporters if they went down that road.
but yes, it needs to be stamped out by the clubs mainly, BUT i think the WAAFL should be imposing some kind of punishment to the clubs that dont even bother trying.

The racial vilification was raised but in true waafl style not discussed. I thought this would have been the best forum to ram the point home to all clubs and all presidents that this behaviour won't be tolerated. obviously not??????

Thats why clubs have to take this further to places like the media.

I bet the people running WAAFL are happy to take their fat pay check each week. Their actions have just proved that the pay check is at its fattest when they have to do stuff all admin work to recieve their money.People work harder when working for the dole than they do administering our game and dealing with the same issues that pop up each year at WAAFL headquarters.
