Yeah they were goal kickers but lose 2 or 3 players and have apparently gained 6 or 7 so your theory is flawed about something going on i think. Just those players maybe decided to move on. When you have more that come in than out points to nothing going on I would think. I will definitely have my ears to the ground tomorrow though. I just think you maybe getting carried away about 2 or 3 players not wanting to be in the black and white this year. If his brothers leave? What does that mean , the club is only around 3 or 4 players? They are good players and been around a while but not super stars and there are other players. Think your on the wrong path now freo.Loyalty is a big thing

Not being rude Maggies but when 3 of your best players leave after 4 rounds I have a feeling something isn't right there!

Will find out today hopefully. Not sure about 3 of the BEST players , Wedding only played a few I think and Youngy had some good games apparently but best 3, na , best 12 probably. Again if they lose 3 but gain 6 or 7 or more I cannot see what issues your talking about. Just does not add up what you are saying.

I am the League coach of Bassendean and I have been told about this site from a few boys previously. This will be my one and only post on here. Firstly there is NO issue at Bassendean at all this year. We actually have a great group of players in all three grades and the atmosphere is very good. As far as the 3 players leaving the club has gone , yes this is true, all for different reasons.

Maggies is correct in saying we have picked up more players than we have lost , approximately 9 players in total. Maggies if your down at Jubilee today the last thing I want from an ex person of the club to do is come back on here and give reports that no one knows nothing about! The insinuations about something wrong at the club could not be further from the truth , so stop spreading unwanted rumours.

As far as Bully goes, he is a terrific player and person, he left for his own reasons and I do hope he comes back soon , nothing at all to do with the club and yes he would be in the starting 22 of the league side. Ash , he could not make the trip to training so he moved on, again a champion fellow and is always welcome at Basso. Chris Yarran , again moved on due to his own reasons which no one on here needs to know about.

Bassendean is in a strong position at the moment and I am excited for the year and hopefully we can field our strongest sides for the remainder of the year. All I ask is if your a part of Bassendean to sop any unwanted rumours and come down to support a fantastic club.

No problem good win today by the lads all three grades i believe. All the best for the year

Swan Valley vs Canningvale

Colts;
Canningvale by about 5-goals.
Score suggest a close match, the Cubs were far better on the day, Valley have a few good players but lack in the speed department. Good clean game of footy, the Cubs took the foot off the pedal in the last term and let Valley kick the last 3 or 4 of the game which is disappointing.

Reserves;
Canningvale by 11-goalsish.
Probably the opposite here, game was much closer than the score suggests. Cougars had the lead all day but were only up by 25-points at 3/4 time. We did kick 4or 5 goals in the last ten minutes to blow it out a bit. Personally, was good to play on old Dingo who pipes up on here every now and then.

League;
Canningvale by about the same 12-goals.
First quarter was tight with both sides kicking three goals a piece... then the rest of the game was one way traffic. Again, good clean game, Valley just out classed. Few injuries for the Cougars as we had no bench at the end of the game.

One point of note - the Valley canteen sells the worst hot chips and hotdogs... AS a lover of hot chips, I was disappointed to be served microwaved chips. Though the canteen lady was the nicest around. All made up for by the nice cold beers we had after the game though.

Everything I've read on here about the Mossie Park umpire is true......it's embarrassing! Even the Mossie players looked embarrassed!

I know its hard to find umpires but really guys for a club 100+ years old it's really damaging your image. The game itself was played in good spirits and good facilities down there, but he is just really not good for football.
