Some brilliant write ups in this grade keep the good work up.

Roleystone should be far too good for Quinn's
Bayswater will get up over Melville.
Safety Bay the team to beat and won't loose to the Cats.
Ocean Ridge to bounce back against Nolla
Forrestdale far too good for Swans

Looks like forrestdale's season gettin worse with another lose on the board goin to be tough year for them, good to see nollamara was competitive Againts 4th spot ridge hopefully they can improve on it ,Another easy win from the stone boys they are in some really good form goin to be a good match next week between them and safety bay after the bay boys rolled last years e2 premiers by 5 goals at the temple . Bayswater hav continued there good form with another solid win they could be the quite achievers of the camp who could sneak up and win it if they keep it up so look out for them

the safety bay/cooby game was a scrappy one.
with cooby coming out the blocks fast and getting an early lead, the cats midfield pace and pressure seemed to keep safety bay away from the football, cooby lead untill somewhere in the 3rd quater where the fitness dropped off.
it was a strange game as safety bay turned up without an accredited umpire, which i was told technically means a forfeit, in teh spirit of the game we were happy for them just to provide someone to umpire, but the guy they picked was terrible (actually was told he was the fullback for the team), no boundry umpire and the goal umpire was the captain of the reserves side.
while we were clearly beaten by a better side on the day, there were 2 clear behinds for Safety Bay that were called goals by their goal umpire, and a 3rd which was questionable, as well as him yelling at our players while shooting for goal, while supposed to be impartial, to the bay's credit their captain did report it to the umpire and it was nipped in the bud.

but the field umpire was ridiculous. a cooby player was awarded a free kick and a fifty as a bay player ran super close as he went to kick the ball, the bay umpire didnt agree and yelled at the other ump the whole way while the fifty was being moved forward, the result was a missed goal, 10 second after the bay recieved a free kick, where the safety bay ump decided to pay a fifty for "going over the mark" when no one moved and the bay player hadnt even gone back yet, while the ump was jogging back a safety bay player said to a cooby player "oh that was bullshit", so another fifty was against cooby, then a "what the fuck" has heard and another fifty, the safety bay player had a shot from the goal line. at a crucial point in the game it was a disgraceful "sqaure up" by an ump with a smile on his face.

now im not saying that we lost because of this, i blame that on our fitness, because we were beaten by a better side, but what i am saying that is safety bay are clearly a top 2 team, but the above can not happen in the future as it puts a bitter taste in the day, surely their players can't be satisfied with what happened on the day.

Looks like the competition is starting to take shape with the three top teams Bayswater ,Safety Bay and Roleystone having good wins . Roleystone by 13 goals over Quinn's ,Bayswater pumped the up and down Melville by 13 goals and looks like Safety Bay had a good struggle on there hands but still got over Coolbellup by 5 goals.
Ocean Ridge came up against a fast improving Nollamara at home and just got away with with a 9 point victory to jeep themselves In 4th. Swan Districts went to Forrestdale and came away with a three goal win to prove two things . One that they are not yet a spent force and the second being that Forrestdale are overrated and look likely to occupy the bottom rungs of the ladder.
So the shape of things now are that there looks like a gap between the top three being Bays ,Baysie and the Stoners while Ocean Ridge ,Coolby and Swans will fight out the next two spots for the final five and the rest will be making up numbers unless they can find some form.

Ridge had a pretty disappointing match against Nollamara. Nollamara started well kicking 3 of the first four goals of the match and using their speed and agility to find the ball. Ridge weren't really attacking and running as hard as usual. Through the second and third quarters Ridge managed to peg the score back slowly, but Nollamara always seemed to keep one step ahead. The last quarter came and Nollamara stopped running. Ridge managed to get a lot more of the ball and and score more heavily and escape with the four points in what was probably our worst performance of the season.

Our entire club suffered in round 4 from a bout of "Groovin the Moo" flu and Safety Bay are a top side, so the Nolla game was our worst performance for where we expected to be in that game.

I think that just shows the gulf in class in this competition Wolf. Having played in both games we were down on both skills and decision making in both matches but with a weakened side against top of the table we at least showed more effort by attacking the footy and chasing when the Bay got a hold of it. This weekend we waited until the fourth quarter after Nollamara had clearly run themselves off their feet before we started to do those things and managed to win a game that we may not have deserved to.
