Was a good win for Cooby.
Only had 17 of our regular players and 2 fill ins (one being 60years+ and actually snapped a goal)
With basically no rotations in the centre or bench, the swans didnt seem to want to defend. They ran hard forward but not so much back, and were killed in open space on the rebound.
Was 3 goals at qtr time to the cats with the wind, then back to 1 difference at the half.
Out to 20 at 3 qtr time but it seems as though the swans ran out of legs and cooby opened up what i think was a 9 goal buffer with swans tacking on the last couple late.

Swans just underestimated players and freely left people open across the ground and Cooby managed to make them pay.
But you never know with the swans what team they will have next week, as they were also benchless by half time

Swans ran out of legs? Fitness is supposed to be their big advantage.

Either they ran out or just didnt use them,
They had a few guys running hard but not the amount needed. Maybe they had a bad game or missing a few due to whatever reasons.

The Ridge boys started well below their best footy with way too many skill errors and wasted opportunities leaving us only three points ahead at quarter time. Some improvement in the second saw Ridge extend the lead to two goals by half time but we were very disappointed with our first half against a hard running Quinns. The third quarter saw Ridge finally show some dominance laeding by 5 goals at three quarter time. Quinns showed a lot in the last putting the Ridge defence under the pump, kicking the first goal of the quarter but couldn't capitalise and then ran out of legs with about five minutes to go and Ridge then kicked three goals to close out the match and win by seven.

Story in The West on Saturday saying the Eagles wont let Murray Newman play with Swans but he is training with them. After saturdays performance looks like the may have to put preesure on The Eagles to let him play or some shower action may have to take place. Who can stop Safety Bay. They are really up and about at the moment.

safety bay still not at full strength atm .have quite a few to come and a few key players playing reserves too.will only get much stronger

Why wouldn't they let Newman play for the farm....surely based more on football ability rather than his conviction they won't be renewing his contract. On his best day he's not up to AFL level although certainly knows how to party like an Eagle.

Safety Bay v Ocean Ridge this week, should give us a good understanding of who is the team to beat.

That's what happens when you have a president with no idea and can't take control and a blatant liar
No one wants to go play or watch football against this mob with the dreadful incidents that have taken place over the years, yes it may only be a few bad apples but no one has the balls or take the responsibility down there.
There have been many issues over the years and again at the start of this year with this club that the waafl have failed to address properly or even better liaise with a club to improve there ways .

Anyone can tell you that if things aren't run properly off the ground it will be much the same on the ground

All clubs have there ups and downs and lets hope they get it back together

How could Murray Newman possibly attain amateur status when he's contracted at an AFL club?
