Sorry Major, I got there around half time so I didn't see that incident. Hope he's alright though.

I don't mind seeing a solid bump, but hate seeing players get hurt badly.
Was is a clean hit or dirty??

Not a bad effort from TAs if they were a man down after the First Quarter.. Especially keeping Wembley to 1 goal until the last Quarter.

I didn't actually see the incident but he was in a bad way. I'm told a shattered jaw, fractured throat, fracture at the top of his spine and a bunch of missing teeth. Poor bugger. It's just a game afterall

yes the game was filmed don't know if it was on the tape, umpire did not think much of the incident did not even pay a free kick, maybe you only get 1 high shirt front free kick per quarterand they had already had one!!!!

I couldn't have looked that bad when it happened as the umpires and no TA players made an issue of it. Mind you from my view the player was struck fairly down his side by a guy who must weigh about 100kg. It was a fair bump no elbows raised or anything although I heard later that the Wembley players shoulder made contact with the TAs players neck jaw area. It was unfortunate that it was right when he was kicking the ball and he was not only off balance but was also blind sided from the Wembley player coming into tackle by the man on the mark after the TA player took the advantage after a free. Not what anyone wants to see happen in football I'm sure. Unfortunately we don't have the advantage of multiple cameras filming all the angles otherwise it could have been a report at AFL level once they reviewed the match day footage.

First and foremost I want to say I hope the guy is ok and has a full recovery.

On that note, it is not netball boys, yes I agree, no good seeing someone go off in an ambulance but it is footy, bumps are a huge part of it and I bet you there was a huge cheer from the crowd when he was layed out. By all accounts it was a fair solid bump. Yep sucks there were sever injuries, but it is a contact sport and part of the thrill is putting your body on the line every week!

I know in the league game there was a very good solid bump and that could have had a huge impact on the outcome of the game as I am pretty sure the poor bloke went straight for the bench with the wind knocked out of him. It is all part of the game.

I have had my jaw broken in a good solid bump, was top of guys shoulder hit my jaw I was blindsided tracking the footy, but hey no free, no report, just part of the game

I heard that the Swan View coach, Mad Dog, was involved some sort of disagreement over a game of pool at his local on Sunday and struck (so I was told) a player in the face!!! short tempered bloke but never thought it'd go this far!

pretty poor form regardless of whether it was a player or not. to get involved in something like that when you're representing the club is horrible from anyone, not to mention the senior coach!!

How is playing pool at his local classed as representing his club?

Not big on reacting one way or another to posts that begin with "I heard that...". Plus you question whether it was a player or not, but not if a scuffle actually took place or what provoking there was if it did happen.

Anyway, not my club, not my worry. Mad Dog, if you did this and he was a right prick that needed sorting out, fair call!
