that mentality is why kids go to other clubs justgetakick.

Don't think for one instant because a team is playing in a lower grade or even E grade that kids won't go there.

Any club chasing colts will tell you the same thing if they are serious about their colts program. A club starting out like Forrestfield will sneak in under the radar and you miss the boat.

Firstly congrats to WCC and Marcus. Great result for your club.

Dazza, Marcus was great at Collegians for a number of years. I personally had a great working relationship with him. However, for reasons that probably remain true today the Committee went with another coach (2 years ago not 12 months). For various reasons outside the control of a coach we struggled this year and will play B Grade next year. However I still back Jammo as a great coach (as is Ayresy) and hope the club offers him something to continue on.

Sad reality is there can be more than one good coach and that where Collegians and WCC are next year in the grading may have not been different with different coaches at the helm.

Good luck this w/e against Kala

I would be inclined to think differently cork,in saying 12 months i was refering to the 2 guys that left the club after having a large say in ayresy demise just 12 months prior.
Lets not detract from where we started in that its a great coaching effort by marcus to take this team from near C grade at the end of 2011 back to A grade in the space of 2 seasons

Could not agree with you more Darren! 8 weeks ago WCC dropped out of the top 5 and where sitting 6th. What has been achieved from there is nothing but remarkable from this young group and everyone involved. They won 3 out of there last 4 to finish third. Lost there first final with a side that has close to 85% of players that had never played in a final. Turned it around the following week to beat North Fremantle, then a week later beat Scarborough to march into the grand final. Yes they have not beaten Kalamunda this year which will be a huge test for the boys this weekend. So cork unless you are saying someone like Bill Duckworth, dont know who else could have turned the side around like that..
