I'm surprised that there has not been much activity in the C1 thread considering it's finals time.
Let’s hear the predictions for this weekend’s games.

League
Wanneroo to get over the line in a tight low scoring game.
Rams to win by 5-6 goals and push on next week to score a grand final appearance and return to B grade.

Reserves
Rams to win convincingly 50+
Was surprised to see Ocean Ridge go down last week with an impressive performance by the Wanneroo lads. Would like to know how many league players were slotted into their side due to the bye?
Ocean Ridge to have a big win after a disappointing loss last week.

Rooty, only the 2 league players came down to reserves, and reserves also lost one of their best players to a hammy niggle within the first 2 minutes of the game.

my tips are:
Roos league in a close one. 3 goals.
Melville league by 5 goals.
Roos ressies to get up over the rams by 1 goal.
Ridge to bounce back by 4 goals.

Thanks for starting the thread Rooty. I was going to start one earlier but Wednesdays are usually the day that I do this. Should be good games across all grades this weekend. So if you aren't busy, get down at watch some local football. Help out a fellow amateur club by utilising the bar and canteen facilities. Just in case probably a good idea to take a umbrella as it could get wet on Saturday.
Lets get into it.

Colts
First Semi Final
Wanneroo v Thornlie @TheShowgrounds
Meetings this season
Thornlie 7.11 53 def Wanneroo 5.4 34
Wanneroo 7.3 45 def Thornlie 5.7 37

Both times these two teams have played this season they have been tough tight contested games of football. Wanneroo will be looking to get back on the winners list after falling to Kingsley last weekend, while Thornlie played with a lot of spirit and passion to get the win last week against Onion Ridge. I'm sure Thornlie will be looking for revenge after losing to Wanneroo in last seasons preliminary final. After talking to Wanneroo's players and seeing Thornlie last week both teams have a few injury concerns to 'important' players which may make a difference. It should be a closely contested game. Given the game is at home for Wanneroo and it's a big day for the club. I'm thinking the crowd may get them across the line.
Wanneroo by 1 goal

Second Semi Final
Kingsway v Kingsley @Kingsway
Meetings this season
Kingsley 10.7 67 def Kingsway 6.11 47
Kingsway 14.13 97 def Kingsley 7.6 48

Kingsway would have enjoyed last week off after snatching top spot from Kingsley in the last round of the season due to a greater percentage. Kingsway may be affected by the availability of Subiaco players, but I'm sure that wont matter to much. I heard Kingsley had a good strong vocal crowd last weekend, interesting to see if they turn up again. Take nothing away from Kingsley though they are a good team. Kingsway will get the win here though.
Kingsway by 2 goals

Reserves

First Semi Final
Ocean Ridge v Gosnells @Kingsway
Meetings this season
Ocean Ridge 12.7 79 def Gosnells 6.10 46
Gosnells 9.12 66 def Ocean Ridge 5.4 34

Both teams in the match will have a chance to pick the best team available. Onion Ridge may have a few handy inclusions after their league team bowed out last weekend. Gosnells had a good win over Kingsway last weekend and would already have a strengthened team. Should be a good game however I'm sorry Onion Ridge but I'm thinking you may go out in straight sets here,
Gosnells by 2 goals

Second Semi Final
Melville v Wanneroo @The Showgrounds
Meetings this season
Melville 12.14 86 def Wanneroo 7.9 51
Melville 15.10 100 def Wanneroo 4.5 29

Melville have been the best reserves team all season and will be looking to show that on Saturday, after enjoying the bye last weekend and watching Onion Ridge and Wanneroo go at it, I'm sure they will be ready. Wanneroo haven't been close to Melville so far this year, but things can change in finals and in front of what I'm sure will be a strong crowd I think It could change this weekend. I will be looking forward to see the Panda in action.
Wanneroo by 3 points

League

First Semi Final
Kingsway v Melville @Kingsway
Meetings this season
Kingsway 12.22 94 def Melville 9.3 57
Melville 21.11 137 def Kingsway 8.8 56

The two times these teams have played the scoreline have been vastly different as you can see. Melville had a 118 point turnaround from their first meeting this season. Kingsway coming off a disappointing loss last week to Kelmscott where they never really got firing. Where Melville were full of fire last week against Onion Ridge. It could come down to whichever forward line works better this weekend, with what could be tough conditions. This will be a very close game in this do or die clash for both sides. I think it will be a draw at full time. With Kingsway getting the win in extra time.
Kingsway by 2 points.

Second Semi Final
Wanneroo v Kelmscott @The Shwgrounds
Meetings this season
Wanneroo 13.12 90 def Kelmscott 11.8 74
Wanneroo 16.14 110 def Kelmscott 9.4 58

It's sure to be a big day down at The Showgrounds with all 4 Wanneroo teams playing finals there. (Thirds have a night game). Wanneroo has done very well this season going through undefeated. After a good rest to some aching muscles last week Wanneroo will be out to show why they were top of the ladder. Kelmscott were good last weekend and have been good all season, can they be the ones to stop Wanneroo. The winner of their game advances to the Grand Final and earns promotion to B grade for season 2014. Should be a very good crowd at Wanneroo and I'm looking forward to enjoying a few hots chips during the day with some fellow supporters.
Wanneroo to win by 3 goals

Good luck to all this weekend. Hopefully we all enjoy finals football and play within the spirit of the game.

Righto round 2 is here…and that one week closer to the Big One! Rooty we are up and about, but have always been told to respect your elders and with Mr M getting a bit upset that I beat him to the punch last week I thought I would give him first crack.. Had this written before Mr M posted, a lot of views are shared but wasn’t going to change it. All I can say is nice right up Mr M! Like your work!

League
Wanneroo V Kelmscott @ Wanneroo Showgrounds
This Season:
Wanneroo 13.12 90 def Kelmscott 11.8 74
Wanneroo 16.14 110 def Kelmscott 9.4 58

Undefeated throughout the season Wanneroo would love to make it 19 straight and straight on to the big day. However, Kelmscott will have other ideas. If Kelmscott travel with their full squad it will be a really close battle, if they don’t expect a repeat of what we saw when the 2 teams vs’d each other last time at the Showgrounds!

Kingsway V Melville @ Kingsway Reserve
This Season:
Kingsway 12.22 94 def Melville 9.3 57
Melville 21.11 137 def Kingsway 8.8 56

Melville are in Red Hot form and at the best time of year as well. Kingsway will be licking their wounds from last week’s game while Melville will be on a High! Kingsway will be hoping that their bigger ground can open up and break the Rams as they did earlier in the year, but that is all a distant memory now!

Reserves:
Melville V Wanneroo @ Wanneroo Showgrounds
This Season:
Melville 12.14 86 def Wanneroo 7.9 51
Melville 15.10 100 def Wanneroo 4.5 29

Melville’s reserves have been the bench mark of the comp, and only time will tell if the break has softened them. Wanneroo after a good win over OR last week may be without a couple of players who will be recalled into the league side this week. A question I raise is shouldn’t Melville get the advantage, if any for finishing higher and at least play at the same ground as their league side? Open for debate!

Ocean Ridge V Gosnells @ Kingsway Reserve
This Season:
Ocean Ridge 12.7 79 def Gosnells 6.10 46
Gosnells 9.12 66 def Ocean Ridge 5.4 34

The onions put it up to the Roos last week from most reports, and expect them to fight hard to avoid falling in straight sets. Gosnells will need to be a lot cleaner with skill this week if they are going to continue on into September!

Colts
Kingsway V Kingsley @ Kingsway Reserve
This Season:
Kingsley 10.7 67 def Kingsway 6.11 47
Kingsway 14.13 97 def Kingsley 7.6 48

Kingsway snuck to the Top of the ladder and enjoyed the bye last week. Kingsley have had a hard couple of weeks up against Wanneroo and expect another hard one this week. Both teams will be hoping to secure their spot in the GF and expect some sort of confusion to be made about who actually won due to both teams being Kings and confusion being set about the rest.

Wanneroo V Thornlie @ Wanneroo Showgrounds
This Season:
Thornlie 7.11 53 def Wanneroo 5.4 34
Wanneroo 7.3 45 def Thornlie 5.7 37

Thornlie football clubs pride and honour are looking to keep the club in some sort of contention this week, and in the past this match has always bee a pretty close encounter! Thornlie will want payback from last year and send the Roos out in straight sets! The Roo’s on their home Turf will want to start the day off with a bang and make it 3 from 3 for the Roo Lads!

Good luck to all, the weather may come into play for a lot of these games and make for scrappy affairs with both the Showgrounds and Kingsway known to be mudpits at times!

What are you going on about Rooty?

@binger - regarding the ressies, I believe its because you follow your league team, and it goes by the highest placed league team hence our ressie boys get the home game.

Rooty, I presume the Roos will use the same game plan against Melville as they did against Ridge. If it is good enough to beat Ridge....it is good enough to beat Melville.

Reverse Kanga. Any bets or margins for this weekends games?
Also what happend to all those Kingsley and Lynwood Players who got on here after they had a little tiff. Yet have never been seen again.
I do hear that some clubs ban/put a muzzle on players so they don't appear on here. Sad world we live in
