Now i have some time up my sleeve i wanna commebt on the impending finals and last 3 games. It's going to be a very interesting few weeks coming. There are chances that my boys could finish 3rd depending on how Secrets go. They have a tough final two weeks of the season. The only way The River can finish 3rd is if we win all our remaining games and Secrets loses their last 2 which could happen.

Southern River's last 3 games ahead - Wembley, Roleystone and Swan View
Secret Harbour's last 3 games ahead - Roleystone, Swan View and Brentwood Booragoon

It could also come down to percentage as well if we can't get over Swan View and if Secrets lose their last 2.
Another point is that unless the Jets have a horror 3 weeks, TA's won't play finals. They'll probably stack their Reserves side who are sitting on top and are a great chance of a Premiership there.

3 games to go until we get rid of the pretenders and deal with the contenders. A couple of games this week will show where teams are at in that equation. It looks as though it will come down to the final round to determine 5th where Jandakot take on Ozzy Park unless Jandakot can pull off a surprise win against either of the top 2 teams in coming weeks in which case they can still get 4th. Second spot is between The Dogs and The Harbour,that too could come down to the last game where the meet each other. The View look safe at the top.
So.....

JANDAKOT vs SWAN VIEW- Unfortunately we couldn't accommodate Jandakot in wanting to have a late start (5pm) because of clashes with their juniors. Spewing,I would've loved playing down in whoop whoop when it's 2 degrees. So it's business as usual for us,we know Jandakot are playing for a finals spot and will have to be somewhere near our best to come away with a win. Be interesting to see how many Jets colts double up and how they handle it after no doubt playing a physical game earlier against Ballajura.

TA's vs COCKBURN- TA's know that unless they win all 3 of the remaining games then they are not likely to play finals. Luckily for them they are playing the 3 bottom sides in those games. They won't be dropping this one at home against a Cobras side who,after a good patch of form,have stumbled again in recent weeks. An interesting side note here,I heard that 3rds,4ths teams have been investigated for having had players dropping back to play in these teams and a couple have even lost points

BRENTWOOD vs OSBORNE PARK- After playing both of these teams in recent weeks I think Brentwood is the better team but not by a lot. Both teams have plenty of big bodies and going on the result last time are evenly matched across the field. The Park boys lose this and it's definitely no finals for them,Brentwood lose and 2nd spot will not be theirs come 5pm Saturday. Might not even be theirs if they win.Will be a great battle,The Park by a point.

SECRET HARBOUR vs ROLEYSTONE- This could get ugly! Wouldn't surprise me if it was a massacre on the scoreboard and bloodshed on the field.

Last time Roleystone played away they were by all reports a rabble and the season can't end quick enough for them. The Harbour are in a rich vein of form and will be looking to continue that before a big clash with The View next week. I think they'll be in 2nd spot after this game,gaining some big %.
The Harbour by 23 goals if Roleystone turn up,by 89 points if they don't.

SOUTHERN RIVER vs WEMBLEY- The River,luckily for them,have had the 2 bottom teams in consecutive games. They got back on the winners list to stop the slide and sure up a spot in the 5 with a belting of Cockburn. After that win and back at home they'll find the love again for each other here and make it 2 in a row. Wembley 3rds must be wishing they were that little bit more shit and be playing for a finals spot in 4ths. Interesting,I doubt they'll be picking their best team for the league game. For that reason they have Nooooooo hope!

I think that Jandakot are a VERY good chance of taking it right up to Swan View this weekend; and that's from someone who never comments on their own sides chances.

Starting to get a big of depth back into our ranks - guys back from injury. Ressies have won 3 on the trot as well. Colts have made finals. Good feeling around the place.

Looking forward to winning by 19 points this weekend.

Just get your reserves to go easy on the Auskick Oval!!! It's about 20 meters shorter than Roleystone...

One a positive note - just had confirmation from our u12's that Mundijong have agreed to a switch of the 2.30pm game to 10.00am therefore you won't have to share your change rooms with a bunch of 11 year olds.

And the bar will be open from end of the Reserve game when we move to the main full sized oval.
