Down at Lightning Park Noranda took the colts and reserves victorys quite comfortably.

Ellenbrook had a good win in the league to take top spot.

Some interesting viewing post game from my spot near the bar - Eels captain went to shake Agostino's hand (he was walking off to the change rooms) and the Hawks runner blocked him (forcefully) from seeing him. A bit uncalled for in amateur football.......

Great league game at anning park today with cockburn winning by only a few points against ballajura.

Resserves game called off with 5 mins to go due to all in brawl. Most would say a little prematurely. cockburn were up by around 20 goals.

Good win away in the league from ur boys Whitey...was away watching thirds...what happened out there?

Yes I saw that too whitey, very strange indeed and I've never seen that before in my footballing life. Ago stomp stormed off the ground leaving his team out there. Two eels players tried to run over to him to shake his hand, the first made it to him but he refused to shake hands, the second I believe was ellenbrooks captain who was chested away but norandas runner. And this was after norandas were the ones who were throwing punches and late hits on the field, it was embarrassing.

On the game, ellenbrook simply took noranda apart, it was a clinic on hard work. Those boys hunted down anyone who was wearing brown and gold that took possession of the ball. They made a new fan today with the display they put on. They hit noranda so hard (but fair) that at one point in the last, a noranda player came to the interchange wanting a rest and no one was willing to come on for him, they sent him back out.

2 good wins for East Freo down at Winnacott affordReserve yesterday.Thanks to Dianella Morley for fielding 2 teams when it was obvious they were struggling for numbers.Both games were played in great spirits and watched by some great past players and life members of the club.
Things are slowly coming together for the players at Easts and hopefully we can give the ladder a bit of a shake up by seasons end.

Shaping up to be a belter of a run home to finals with the Eels and Easts the two in form teams in the comp at the moment playing a very hard and contested brand of footy

Maybe HOGOSTINO was pissed off his cheque from Noranda bounced this week! What happened to Spandaman? Is he turning into a marshmallow?

Great win by the eels on the weekend but.... Hit Noranda hard and fair.... I think not...... I would also think twice myself about shaking blokes hands after the Dirty tactics that Ellenbrook decided play and Noranda paying players...... What a joke...... keep believing that story ....... blokes can't go and play with their mates and for a club they love ...... but guess some people have to stoop to that level !

im not here to be a keyboard nazi but godzilla are you for real. A game of football is about team work attacking the ball playing as a team respecting the bloke that is wearing the same jumper as you. Noranda did not show any of these traits on saturday. Noranda gave away quite a few free kicks because they didnt bend there knees and get the hard ball. they choose to play the man. Ellenbrook showed that going for the ball low hard and without any respect for there own bodies will win you the game every time. i dont care about the money that people talk about that noranda are alledged to be paying. the aim of the game is to get the 4 points go the hard ball and most of all show your opponent some respect and atleast shake there hand. The coach is there front man and there rock if he looses respect from his own players and other teams then he is in for a tough year. beacuase i can assure you. Ellenbrook will never take a backward step and they will always respect there opponent.
