The first half of the season ends Saturday and throws up some very interestig games. Quinns have continued on their merry way, rarely challenged on their undefeated run. Canning VPSP have been very consistent whilst Warnbro have faltered slightly and Canningvale have failed to match the top teams. Bassendean are finding last years form, Mosman Park have also found some form and The Valley have been more competitive after a slow start. SNESA have also struggled in recent weeks after a great start, Kenwick and Manning will strive to get out of the bottom two and avoid relegation.

Canningvale v Manning

The Cougars will welcome the chance to return to the winners list and should do so convincingly.

SNESA v Bassendean

SNESA will be hoping to get their season back on track but I think a resurgent Bassendean will be too strong.

Swan Valley v Mosman Park

A crucial game for The Valley against a team that has found some form. The Valley are only one game out of the relegation zone and would love to create some space! The Valley at home in a close one.

Warnbro v Quinns

The longest trip in the comp and what was a few weeks ago a highly anticipated clash. Since then Warnbro have dropped away a little whilst the Bulls have contined on their merry way. No doubt the Swans will be better at home but not good enough I feel, the Bulls comfortably for mine.

Canning VPSP V Kenwick

The old Sunday FL rivals match up again for the umnpteenth time, with the added spice of a few Kenwick lads moving to their rivals this year. Kenwick will fight tooth and nail but Canning have been impressive and should win comfortably.

Good luck to all!

Canningvale
Ladies Day at the Cougar Den this Saturday - Our boys will be keen to get back on the winners list after 3-losses in a row. Slowly getting our side back to full strength, we hope sooner rather than later with a massive second half of the season ahead of us. We will not take Manning lightly though. Looking forward to working the bar again this week and having a drink or ten with a fellow injured full-forward from Manning.

Bassendean
I am going to pick Basso here, but I won't be surprised if SNESA win. Sources tell me they played their worst game of football in 2-years last weekend and they will be keen to make amends. Bassendean need to win games like this if they are to be a contender and avoid the hot/cold season they have had thus far.

Mosman Park
I was going to pick the Valley here, but with Mosman Park in form, I have to back them in, regardless of the away fixture. The mosquitoes have taken two big scalps in the past three rounds and they will be looking to continue that form. The Valley will be keen to get the win to get far enough above Kenwick and Manning to avoid relegation.

Quinns
Having played both these teams, I think Quinns are a much better side. I did notice that they run very hard froward and not as hard back though. This could be a factor when coming up against another good team in Warnbro. Would love to watch this game.

Canning
Kenwick with a surprise win last week... I can't see a repeat. IMO, Canning are in the top two sides we have played this year and I think this will be a big win for them.

As always, good luck to all.

Canningvale V Manning
Canningvale coming off the three losses will look to shut Manning down hard and early. i think if Manning can get a good start they can make this a contest but Canningvale should win.

SNESA V Bassendean
LAG saying it was their worst game in 2 years seems a stretch considering they scored 14 against Quinns in round 6. SNESA have some very handy players but if the weekend is anything to go by the small midfield SNESA played with will get bullied by the Basso mids. i don't be a large margin but i think it will be a comfortable one for Basso

Swan Valley V Mosman Park
Mosman Park have hit a rich vein of form beating 2 of the finals contending teams and bringing themselves right into the mix. valley are still in the conversation for relegation though the game break and better percentage will be difficult to overcome. i think Mossie will continue to press for finals with a win here and also keep our hopes of avoiding relegation up.

Warnbro V Quinns
I for one was looking forward to this game earlier on and wouldn't have been surprised to see both teams go into this game undefeated. quinns have followed the script but Warnbro dropping a couple to have people saying Canning deserves a top 2 spot more. this will be a very fluid match with both teams playing very open brands of football. i'm not confident about it but i'm gonna go the upset and tip Warnbro at home in a tight one.

CVPSP V Kenwick
a very old Rivalry as has been said, the games have always been very well contested between the two teams. 2 of the 3 players that have gone across have started to play in the league so hopefully we get to say hello. after the win last week i'd like to think we have momentum and will put on a good show in the Mud.

Canning Vale - By Lots
Mosman Park - My Old Team, Played fantastic pressure footy the last 2 weeks and will make it 5 in a row
Quinns - Warnbro have lots of front runner's, If they get there tail's up will be a chance but Quinns easily for me
Basso - I feel SNESA will struggle to stay in C2.
CVPSP - I enjoy the games with old rivalry but even after last weeks win for The Royals, Canning have been going along nicely and will win here

Wow, just had to check on that. Mosman Park have won 4-on the trot after losing their first 4. Just one win out of the 5, this becomes a massive game for them.

Footylad, can you tell us what has changed down there? I played Mossie Park in Round 3 and after that game couldn't see them being contenders. Just a poor first 4-games or an influx of players? Interesting, they are becoming dark horses.

Just repeating what I have heard, Clarko. I take nothing away from your win - it was well deserved after a few narrow losses. Kenwick have never been a club to roll-over and I truly hope you guys get back that hostile feeling I always felt when playing there in the SFL.

Gday LAG. They are getting a few players back from injury as-well as picking up a player or 2, Still a young side who are starting the play the way the coach want's them 2.
I honestly believe there Pre-season was the reason for the slow start, Compered to 2011-2012 PS it was very light with more focus on skills then overall fitness.
What i have seen of the comp so far i think they can do some damage towards the end of the year, Also a big plus for them is there depth as in impervious years if a player or 2 gets injured they struggle to cover it.
Going to a very interesting 5 weeks coming up to see if there a threat to the top teams or not
