Hope we all had a great weekend off. Mr Mysterious travelled to 3 different grounds to watch football over the weekend. All had crowds of over 3000 people. And the reason why? Because they all sold HOT CHIPS. I have no doubt this was a contributing factor to crowd numbers.
Lets get stuck into this weekends games like Mr Mysterious does HOT CHIPS

Lynwood Ferndale v Coolbinia West Perth

Big game for both these teams this week. Both Sit 3-4 and with 4th and 5th spot up for grabs on the ladder a win this weekend is important. Lynwood might just have the edge here given they are at home, however I wouldn't be surprised if CWP won.
Lynwood by 2 goals

Kelmscott v Melville.

Kelmscott have been going along as well as everyone had expected. Whilst Melville so far have been under performing. Perth have the bye is weekend, interesting to see if Collard plays again for Kelmscott.
Kelmscott by 5 goals

Kingsway v Ocean Ridge MOTR

I think this is match of the round Kingsway can't afford to lose this as they could slip to 2 games off the top2. Onion Ridge can't afford to lose either as they would slip outside the 5. So a bit riding on this game.i think the Teal Roos can get it done.
Kingsway by 3 goals

Thornlie v Kingsley

It's fair to say it hasn't been a good season so far for both these teams. Thornlie should be the win here and get closer to the move out of the relegation zone.
Thornlie by 8 goals

Wanneroo v Gosnells

Wanneroo currently sits atop the C1 ladder undefeated. Gosnells sit 4th but a loss this weekend can see them drop outside the top5. I haven't seen Gosnells play before but I think this will be a good tight game.
Wanneroo by 3 goals

Good luck to all. Anyone missing players for the State Games on Sunday? Anyone heading down to watch the game? Mr Mysterious might be there.

I personally don't think either thornlie or Kingsley will avoid relegation as the other 8 teams can all easily account for both these teams if each team has their best lineup out on the park. It would take a lot of luck for thornlie to stay up and a Christmas miracle for Kingsley to stay up!

I did say before the season started that Thornlie and Kingsley would be relegation chances. Kingsley lost far to many players to have any depth. Thornlie has been on the brink of falling down for 3 years now. If you check the Thornlies Facebook page, you can see some of the better colts players refuse to play league. It makes for quite interesting reading.

Ironic that the 2 clubs being spoken about (Kingsley and Thornlie) - there colts sit 1 and 2 on the ladder yet there league sides at struggling. Funny how priorities differ from club to club and it will be even funnier when kingsley's colts side could possibly win a grand final ( clubs main priority apparently) yet a lot of these players will move on to play a higher grade the following season due to the fact they will have to front up in c2 next season after they get relegated!

I have seen on the WAAFL website Team lists and spoken to two different people at Thornlie.

They have said 5 or 6 colts have been in League over the last two weeks and a minimum of 3 every week prior?

Thats fair at any club I would say.

I think Gosnells are the same too.

At the end of the day though just because a kid is a good colts player it certainly doesn't mean he is going to make a good league player.

yes i agree Roo but Kingsley have 3 - 4 players playing colts this year that actually played league last year on a regular basis which is probably why the coach & president quit earlier in the year?
