Would have to agree with @stevesmith and @premiershiphangover on this one. Grand final winner promoted and tenth finishing side relegated. It makes a big difference when you are playing for something. As with previous seasons, things just work themselves out. If you are good enough you stay up or maybe qualify for finals or even get in the big dance, if not you drop a grade and rebuild.
In relation to D and E grades, C4 and C5(D1) amalgamate for this season to fill the gaps if higher graded League/Reserves clubs decide not to participate this season and depending on numbers just have E1 and E2 if clubs struggle to put out their 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th sides.

Great points gents!

My two bob worth
1- the financial losses everyone talks about surely can’t be too heavy- yes we have lost 9games to build revenue- but we have also saved the running costs for 9 rounds.
Yes there will be some financial losses if you base it on a full season but in proportion to expenses this year I would actually expect a profit to be made by most clubs.
It is up to club committees to act more like a business/marketing firm now than a traditional “local football club”

2- not having a season this season has the potential to really shake up the PFL and playing stocks in the near future. If I were running a club there is no way I would be looking at dropping a senior team- lose it this year it is very difficult to get it back.

3- Premierships- I believe it is a tougher flag to win this year. It is about player management, proactive coaching and great decision making on game day by players and coaches alike. Clubs that win it this year should be looked at at the best organised and run clubs in the PFL- they have been able to maintain players, keep motivations levels up and provide an environment that promotes resilience.

Kermit and Freo For The Flag,
Great thoughts!

All clubs need to have a EQUAL voice in these challenging times.
