A very enjoyable game against Subi. Thought the kids did well for 75% of the game. Bad 3rd quarter but apart from that 13 goals to 7 was a good effort. 42 you have a short memory. Swans & EP were beaten by bigger margins only a month or so back and in that 2016 game Swans were outscored when combining 3 of the 4 quarters with only 1 AFL listed player playing for Peel to have played at the highest level.

At the end of the day home and away games mean jack shit. As Mikeh says the last 2 premierships are in the book for the mighty Peel Thunder.

Personally I hope Subi win 19 straight and lose to either us, SF or EP on GF day.

RD sorry matches and scores are over 4 quarters not 3 quarters. How many goals did we kick in that match? It was probably the equivalent of 4 other matches in that same season.

I have absolutely no idea what you mean by referring to our match against Subiaco earlier this season. My comments were in the context of what happened in 2016 and what the result was in 2016. If you continue to delude yourself in thinking that without the AFL aligned players Peel would have won the last two GFs that is entirely your choice. I don't believe it.

That's right RD, come finals time if you make it you will go from 9 AFL listed players to having half of Freos list to choose from as it will be mothballs for Fremantle again by the time September comes around and you can bolster your side to 15 (is it?) AFL listed players and fight for a glorious 3 straight flags. Luckily for me it will be against Subi so I don't really give a shit.

On current form, Peel will miss the 5, and the bottom end of the Shockers squad can join their (barely) better credentialed team-mates on an extended summer break.

Anyone who can draw positives from a 3 goal 6 point last 3 quarters has surely lost the plot.

Got to have a plot to lose.

Peel's "plot", never should have been in the comp, terrible decision that no-one takes ownership of. Best result 6 wins in a season until they become an AFL reserves side. Not much of a plot to lose really.

RD you sure know how to hit a few raw nerves as highlighted by the comments above.
Personally I think its great that you come on here and stick up for your team and talk about positives coming out of the game. I wish there were a few more Peel supporters that would do the same as well.
I have stated many times on here that I don't agree with the AFL alignment but I think that Peel's agreement with Fremantle is just one of the many issues that the WAFL is facing due to the complete inaction and disinterest of the WAFC.
I was glad to see a name other than Subiaco on the premiership cup in the last few years but I think they are too dominant this season. Peel will improve as the season goes on as Fremantle will probably not make September and may turn over some players to give them experience. Danyle Pearce and Cam Sutcliffe must be already close to qualifying for the WAFL finals.

Thanks for the positive feedback Mikeh

Most footy fans realise there’s a lot more to digest and like about the game other than the final score. I enjoy football on all levels and like to look for small improvements in individuals games whether they are Peel boys or Freo players.

I think our local boys will continue to improve as the season goes on. Continuity plays a big part in the teams success which obviously can fluctuate with injuries to Peel & Freo. If we make finals at least 10 locals will get a game which I think is a move in the right direction. As I’ve said previously I would like to see a minimum of 12 locals for finals.

Showing your ignorance there for mine Jacky boy. Did you take the Honda for a spin down to the game? I doubt you did.

I counted 11 Ti Em. Not too many of them up to AFL standard, let alone WAFL. And so much for their Super Coach!
