I used Perth as an example, could have been East or South Fremantle, but some club should have been encouraged $$$$ to move to a fast growing area like the Mandurah/ Rockingham area (hey they call that Peel area), bit like West Perth moving to Joondalup when it was evolving.

Far better option than starting a club from scratch and gues what Peel got no concessionslike a Gold Coast or GWS , so was always going to be hard yakka for them.

Not rocket science but a club should have moved there, not create a new club

And not bothering to reply to the "BH Wit" above who must have sniffed the mothballs he was wrapping up in his Swans guernsey until next year

Kirbs how do you reconcile the host club alignment at Peel with providing opportunities for the juniors in that area to progress to playing WAFL league?

My points are more about the formation of Peel f.c, the alignments are another can of worms. If people had their time again, I'm thinking the AFL clubs would be allowed their own Reserves sides in the WAFL, but having 9 sides prior to this rather than 8 makes it more difficult to work, hence why I am a strong advocate, a club should have moved to the Peel district, and not new club formed keeping the WAFL at 8 sides. The system of AFL reserves sides Works ok in the NEAFL against traditional clubs

ross lyon quoted on 6pr radio this week that dockers are in business to win afl premierships not wafl premierships

now why would you be a peel supporter when you hear this and why blokes like b.jones would want to continue his career at peel

Why are people getting all worked up about this situation!

They wanted the alignment and they knew all the risks in being the reserves team for Fremantle.

You take to good with the bad I say. No point complaining.

At the beginning, Peel made all the statements how this will benefit the club. It sort of backfired a tad, I suppose they did make the finals for first time with the help!

Jimmy, to me it is just making a mockery of the competition I love. I find it all quite depressing. The lack of care for the WAFL and the complete disregard for it is nauseating.

To a degree BH, plenty of blokes who may have played at Peel in the last 2 years if no alignment are now somewhere else.

What everyone is forgetting they get another chance next week regardless of this Weekends result and will be back to near on their best side next weekend.

Kirbs if that is the case that absolutely demonstrates what a DISGRACE the host club alignment is and how it attacks the very integrity of the competition. It also shows the COMPLETE NONSENSE that "Peel qualified for the finals for the first time".

I'm losing interest in the Wafl quite quickly hence I only went to the opening game this year but that's another story, tbh maybe have look at your club presidents for not allowing the AfL teams to have their own reserves in the comp might of avoided the farce that's about to happen on Sunday.
