La Hincha no doubt Subi put in a lot of work with the boys Shane Joyce is a top bloke to have around and a few years ago Darren Ressuggan was on the ground helping the boy out and us coaches up there.

If you put in the work on the ground floor then eventually you will reap the benefits. And with the goldfields boys football is a good way to get out of town.

Down here in the South West Peel zone we only have 2 boys in the colts squad and you have to wonder why there aren't more. With work and lifestyle choices some boys just find the commute to hard, but this is an area that needs to be worked on to try and encourage the boys to take the next step.

If I were Cam Shepherd freeze I wouldnt be doing much planning towards the 2014 season not with peel anyway ..with the loyal FFC servant Calla's already coaching at the club plus Ashley Prescott looking over proceedings they would both be odds on to "take over the reins" when Freo completely take over that rabble next year!!

Only 2 boys in the squad from that section of the Peel zone? Struth! Although, I can imagine that's tough because I'm guessing they don't relocate so have to commute to training all that distance every session?

How many clubs does Peel have to work with from the South West?

Yeah, the Goldfields is great at the moment. Really going well. In fact with 12 Goldfields players in the senior squad this year, they provide more players than any metro club which is a great achievement I reckon.

Peel have a good selection of clubs here mate

Harvey, HBL, Collie, Eaton & Donnybrook

HBL and Eaton have huge numbers in the Juniors with the others struggling at the moment. But funny enough the 2 in the colts are from Harvey & Donnybrook.

Yes you are correct in that the boys don't really commit by relocating and the travel is the killer. At the moment my young bloke goes to 2 out of 3 training sessions in Mandurah and trains with his local Club to make up the missed session.

I know Peel are looking into this and trying to find a solution for this problem.

Also I think that without a uni in the region causes another issue.
