I still can't figure out why Freo delisted him as they could use his in and under grunt now with Neale gone and Fyfe injured...plus Freo are currently 12th for clearances overall and 13th for stoppage clearances. You've got to wonder about Freo's list management sometimes.

Josh has been named in the best six in all games he played for the VFL side since he went there and deserves his chance. Freo have a history of poor recruiting and player development recently with Matt Deboer and Sam Menegola examples of players not valued by freo yet successfull at other clubs.

Peter Bell, Winston Abraham, Craig Callaghan, Jess Sinclair, Heath Black, Brodie Holland, Leigh Brown, Paul Medhurst, Matt DeBoer, Sam Menegola, Graham Polak, Michael Barlow...the list goes on and on,

Whilst some of the abovementioned names didn't exactly scale Everest like heights upon leaving Fremantle, the point regarding Barlow could hardly be further from the truth - Fremantle rookie drafted him in 2010 at the age of 22-23 and he played for 7 seasons and 100 plus games, was delisted and picked up by the Gold Coast (probably a bit off being an elite AFL club) and played for 2 seasons for 10 plus games.

Sure Fremantle may have got some/many wrong but Barlow? Without Fremantle the guy may not have had an AFL career and they should be at least acknowledged for that and not bagged for letting him go and for him being successful at another AFL club.
Not sure what Barlow did at the Gold Coast to constitute AFL success but it must be a pretty low bar.

My sincere apologies Ool I should have instead posted James Clement, Spider Burton, Brad Wira, Daniel Bandy, Adam McPhee, Sam Collins.........

No, no please accept mine now that you have clarified players being successful at other clubs like Wira, Bandy et al. Not forgetting Sam Collins, I bet all the other 16 clubs are ruing the fact that he slipped under their noses and was snared by the mighty Gold Coast as they sat idle.

You all forgot one of the form players of the competition right now and now one of Collingwoods first picked. What a wonderful testament to his character to turn his career on its head when it looked all over 12 months ago. Chris Mayne is now playing the best footy of his career and deserves a premiership.

Can we at least all agree it's not really a conundrum, and Ross has pulled a Swifty.

I sense the drums are beating and eventually the penny will drop. The pressure on Ross Lyon and the players to perform will be enormous next year when Ross goes into the last year of his contract with no extension in sight because Steve Rosich knows the Fremantle faithful will demand his head and those on the board if they do.

Drums are beating in the east from former Ross Lyon disciples to return to St Kilda. The Fremantle FC are at risk of alienating themselves from their members and supporters if they ignore them. Last weeks attendance should prove to be a warning shot across the bow of the ship.

The drums are beating alright. Tom Morris’s breaking news report report that Lyon was getting into hot water just broke. Really Tom? Do you ever take notice of
anything happening outside your pissant little state???

To be fair sharkie the Melbourne journjo’s are only responding to the rage over here which fuels speculation Ross Lyon could be headed back home. What is far worse is the cringe worthy interviews on a Tuesday night by Basil Zemplis asking the most dumb and obvious questions such as “So would you like a contract extension, would that quash the speculation?”. FMD is that the best you can come up with Captain Obvious?

And it stands out like dogs balls the difference in Ross’s demeanor between being interviewed on Ch 7 here and when he’s interviewed on match day by the Foxtel journo’s, mostly from interstate or former players that played under Ross. When interviewed on 7 news in Perth it looks like Ross would rather be swallowing razor blades.

Absolutely, spot on. he has managed to play 30 odd out of 60 odd into a 4 year deal worth 500k a year. Certainly been a better recruit for them than Daniel Wells, and Mayne turned out a cracking game on the weekend - certainly a competition form player right now, managing 8 possessions against GWS on the weekend and one tackle to boot.

Makes you wonder what sort of a player Fyfe would be if he had have shifted clubs a couple years back..

That question might get answered in a couple of years when he comes out of contract if Fremantle doesn’t get its shit together. If we are drifting around the middle of the pack there will be clubs ready to throw huge money at him and Nathan won’t be feeling guilty about leaving.
