Certainly at odds with the Australian Transport Safety Bureau Investigation. Interesting that Mr Vance accuses the ATSB on being wedded to a theory when it is the ATSB stating that the evidence is not yet sufficient to draw a firm conclusion and it is Mr Vance who has written a book based on speculation.

A much bigger concern is the latest Boeing 737 MAX to fall out of the sky killing all 159 people on board. At first glance you think oh Ethiopian Air probably an old aircraft not high standards of maintenance etc etc. Well this baby was brand new delivered by Boeing in November last year and apparently Ethiopian Air has a pretty good record.

This following the same aircraft that was only a couple of months old falling out of the sky, being an Indonesian Lion Air plane killing all 180 odd on board.

On my future travels I'll be avoiding that model of plane.

Although Fiji Airways are the only airline currently flying into Oz. I suspect this is going to cost Boeing a huge wad of cash. EDIT: Correction - SilkAir also flies the MAX into Oz.
