No issue at all, we need as many events as soon as possible in the new stadium so it starts to pay its way. I can imagine the princesses in AFL & WAFC house getting their knickers in a twist at not being the first event.
Whats with all the fuss about the restrictions and now extensions to ticket number for Ed Sheeran? And then asking that no mid-week (Friday night) AFL games be scheduled at the new stadium until the ped bridge is completed, what a pharking joke. Subi oval seemed to manage a mid-week event with 70k ++ for the Adele concert and 60k for ACDC and access there is worse that for the new stadium. Or ... is Sneaker just doing a bit more scumbag politicizing. The new bridge will make a difference but not worth delaying night games which would be spectacular, anyway the venue managers should have the last say not some socialist point scoring dickhead.

For mine, not really ideal, would of at least preferred something with a W A connection or better still an Australian National team, but if this is all they can find at the time then so be it, will they fill it up?

no the won't; that is, fill it up; but, then again nor will the two vfl sides most of the time.

Aus v Eng one dayer would i reckon as a one off biggy, Id love to go.
