Well said swan42, the alignment model sure has failed both of the local clubs and should be scrapped. Maybe they should look at the model used in South Australia? Seems to be working for the SA clubs.

Agree 100%, how Nesbitt has survived so long is an out and out mystery. And yes Summa was a the way to go.

I reckon they are in for a bit of pain going forward , the talent available at East Perth is ordinary , no great draft picks and the coach is as soft as marsh mellow and looks after mates.

The Perth Wildcats had a CEO of many years (not as many as Trevor) and it was his job as long as he wanted it but after back to back championships he decided it was time for him to leave the organisation and seek new challenges and allow someone new into the club. Some people are just selfish and want to hog it until they turn their toes up.

Nisbett cant leave as he wouldnt get a job anywhere else..

had to laugh on the weekend when the beer salesman from EP said the alignment decision was for Nisbett and Bronte to decide, dodgy dealings once again..

Just so there is no chance of misunderstanding they SHOULD SCRAP the alignment COMPLETELY and revert back to the previous method where the local players remain at the WAFL club they were drafted from and a reverse draft for the bottom 5 teams based on their positions from the previous 3 seasons.

Can you imagine a Harley Bennell like situation at SD Swan42? Imagine Swans have made finals, Eagles have made finals and they want to give NicNat some managed minutes of game time coming back from a year out of football and sit him out in the last qtr when the game is on the line and it's a semi final?

It won't happen and the two AFL clubs will never go back to distributing their players all over the WAFL.

Marvin want's an AFL gig. Said as much in the paper about 3-5 weeks ago. That's the reason he left and atm I think is filling an interim role at Hockey WA or somewhere.
